When would Solihull Moors FC go " full - time " ?
Anyone know of any non - league Clubs with a lower average gate / hard - core fan base than Moors , who are now full - time ?
Eg Gateshead, I believe may be.
When could we possibly go full - time ?
Anyone know the actual financial state of the Club -is it excellent, good or just ticking over ?.
Which part - time National League side will finish highest this season ?
Thanks for your constructive feedback.

Re: When would Solihull Moors FC go " full - time " ?
The only way we'd ever go full time is if we ever fluked promotion, but that would bring its own challenges before ever even thinking abut going full time.
It costs too much, you only attract old journeymen or kids unless you pay big money, too many clubs have tried it and failed.
Look at Stalybridge, Kettering, Eastwood, Stockport, Halifax, etc. All are dropping down the leagues or just don't exist anymore.

I agree. It would only work in a sustainable way if we were getting 2500 people through the gate on a regular basis, and at the moment that just ain't gonna happen.

Something to work on.
2500 could be a bit high.
Who actually owns our ground again ?

Dover will finish the highest part-time team this season. Looking like they’ll just miss out on the play-offs.

Do you have to be full - time , to be in League Division 2 ?.
Obviously this is not the case in Scotland, where crowds are generally lower.

Re: When would Solihull Moors FC go " full - time " ?
Re full time: I vaguely remember that under Marcus there was a plan (5 years?) at the beginning of the season to stabilise in this league then hopefully push on to full time in the timescale of the plan. I imagine that with all the changes that have taken place off the field that the plan is probably no longer in situ. Only the club's directors would be able to answer the question.

IMO if you want to stay in this league for a number of years the you have to become full time. As it shown this season it will be a continuous struggle for a club like us to survive if you carry on part time. And yes you have to be full time to play in league 2.

Re: When would Solihull Moors FC go " full - time " ?
I don't think it is anywhere near. Priorities elsewhere and stablility must eclipse the temptation of full time status. There are many things the club needs to do first, of course the goal of being in the football league requires a transition to full time but, i ha e to agree with those who warn not to run before you can walk.
I think a permanent 1500 seater stand on the airport side, crowds averaging over 1500 and a good two or three seasons of progress at this level is all needed before we go full time.
It sounds like a pipe dream (especially the 2m quid or so stadium investment) but the progress in the last few years is encouraging enough to suggest it attainable.
Anyone know any local millionaires?
