Re: Transfer rumours and news.....

I understand in non-league players come and go more often than the Premier league but the core and heart of the team has been stripped out ever since a certain arrival at the club. That along with the comments from the departing players suggest certain people behind the scenes are the cause.
This is also backed up by the lack of announcements on the website. The only thing I can recall is Connor Franklin's departure being announced which is due to his committments which was an actual mutual decision.

I am not overly concerned about the lack of arrivals so far, it is only May. As mentioned, it will be tough to sign decent part time players for this league but I have faith in us doing so.

My worry is how many players from the title winning side are left? How many players from the start of last season are left? How many players do we have who have 50+ appearances for us? That's my worry and why not?

Still no mention of Bes leaving on the website. This is something I am pissed off about.

Am I rushing to renew my season ticket? Am I !@#$.

They are showing the ambition that is not evident here at the moment.

I sincerely hope that's a joke.

Gareth Dean is a centre back. Probably the best in the North division.

Oh well either way the back five from the title winning season was our strong point of the team. Now no Streete, Gough, Dean, Nottingham or Franklin. Just hope we keep Daly.
Our defending was quite often our Achilles heal this season gone, we need to sign daly up and strengthen quickly.

Course its a joke!
Just feeling a bit downbeat with so many good players leaving and a distinct lack of any decent arrivals on the horizon.

The club give the supporters the impression that we haven't got a pot to piss in and can't compete with other clubs for players, continually cost cutting since the heady days of winning the conference north. I know we have had to find a lot of money for ground improvements but it's not a good image for the club when your trying to sell season tickets. I imagine that conference north squad was put together at some great expense which was pre Jed era so how come we had money then and seem to have less now ?
I for one am holding back with my season ticket money until the club shows some ambition. I just wish the board were more open and honest with the supporters instead of been some faceless secret society.

I, like some others on here (I imagine), will be buying a season ticket down at the Blues. I was undecided up until the last couple of days but my decision has been made based on the levels of ambition shown by both of my clubs. I expect attendances to be down at Moors as Blues seem to be on the way up.

Oh and for those who worry they might miss me, I’m sure I’ll be popping up with a crate of Carling and some Jagermeister for some away days next season emoticon

The team just finished ahead of Torquay, York, etc and is in higher league (1, possibly 2 levels above it's natural level) than a whole host of better established and supported teams. What level of ambition are you looking for?

Those of you who are moaning about lack of ambition need to get a life, the club has just spent nion £200,000 to stay in the league., an amount that had to be financed in a matter of months, thus the money had to come from other sources. You think we should sign beswick costing us a few hundred pounds a week, he has not played for 6 months? Go and watch blues who are showing ambition in appointing a 70 year old manager for a year who will probably overspend and leave them in the !@#$ like he did at Portsmouth

Fair point Nick, the club has said we will hear our retained list this week, while it would be nice to get a couple of new faces in quickly, the main contract movement time won't be until end of June. So hopefully we get some good news on Sterling, Shep and Daly soon and we can add after the 'holiday.
Where any questions asked about loan link ups with local big clubs at the end of season dinner?
