Re: Liam Daly - SKIPPER GONE !!

Surprised the club is getting criticised as can't imagine there is a lot we could do whether he had a contract or not. I'm more let down with Liam leaving us weeks before the season starts to go down a league - thought he'd be up for a fight with his home team over taking the easy option along with some of his other ex teammates.

Vinny09 we did compete with at least
half a dozen teams we ended above 8
other teams. And did you not notice we
spent £200,000 bringing the ground up to
league standards.

Don't see KHFC as a step up or a bigger and better side. They were going bust two years ago. Got relegated and we were taking good players off them.ie jack Byrne and callum gittings.
They were clutching at straws.directors all left and all that remained was local failure from sports paper. Forget his name but he had a go managing. Agent-ing and then board room
Even last season they were only able to take in one of our cast offs Darryl knights.
How have they come back with heaps of cash to be out bidding anyone not just us...

4 money men have given them cash and I guess the cash from their big departures help.

If Dan Scarr is his replacement I will be happy.

I absolutely agree, this is where it is unfair on promoted teams having to blow there budget on ground improvements in the first season up, i'd say most of the budget has gone on this work.
If this was spread out over two seasons you would see newly promoted teams staying up.

There's absolutely no point in spending £200,000 on the ground if you're not going to invest in a squad that will keep you in the division. Sick of hearing this as an excuse for not investing.

Anyway, onwards and upwards the replacement for Daly is a good one.

I have to say I agree with Nick. Liam has had his head turned on a better offer and he's taken it and you can't blame him. We are not blessed with the Jeremy Corbyn money tree so whilst it's a huge blow Daly has gone it's not a huge surprise. His stock was high after an impressive season, the chance to go full time on better money, he's approaching 30.....a no brainer.

What the club must do now is recruit wisely to replace him and to try and get a settled squad sooner rather than later so they can all get a pre season together. The one thing we must have next season is a sense of unity to have half a chance of surviving.

Well it's not an excuse, there was no point getting promoted unless we spent money on the ground. If they are offering big money unfortunately despite it being hard to accept we can't compete.

I don't understand why certain players have left but I do have faith in us finding a decent replacement.

We're going forward as a club, maybe at times it seems like it's 2 steps backwards but we will go 3 steps forward. Somehow keep the faith.

World Cup sahota do you not see that if we had
not spent £200,000 on improving the ground then
we would not be in this league. It is not an excuse it is fact. This is why Liam stated this at theeend of the season as to why he had to sign from lower leagues.
Until we can get the money men like kiddy then
it is a fact of life. The club can only spend what we have
coming in and hope this will keep us in this league

Id say Jack Duggan is a more realistic target than Scarr.

I guess we could always play Green, Kettle at CB and that Lavery guy at RB or Bedzi.
