Solihull Moors 3 Walsall 2
An interesting game this, as most of the players were unknown entities to me. Although we weren't overrun, despite an early Walsall goal coming from our right back not covering a run by their scorer. We held our own but without too much joy in the final third, indeed I believe we only had one corner and two shots on target in the first half.
The second half was a different kettle of fish and although both sides made numerous substitutions throughout the half, it started well for Moors with an earlyish equaliser from Hylton, followed by a second from him to put us 2-1 up and we put WalsaLL under some serious pressure and although Walsall's equaliser was an unstoppable 20-odd yarder, we never gave up and most Moors fans would have been happy with a 2-2. Tyrese Shade was destroying the right flank of their defence and a beautiful daisycutter of a cross allowed for Kettle to slot home the winner.
After all the doom and gloom over the closed season my spirits have been lifted somewhat and I am looking forward to the league campaign with optimism.

Agree with Ojivejive enjoyed the game looking forward to Tuesday.
Tyrese was on fire down the left hand side in the second half shame to lose him next week but fair play to him hope he is convincing next week and Leicester sign him up , if not he is welcome to stay with us.

I only managed the second half, but like Ojive2 I was encouraged by the spirited and skilled performances I saw. I picked up my season ticket too so well done Moors you not only beat Blues to that, but solved the problems of last year, I guess due to the new young lady at the desk.

Re: Solihull Moors 3 Walsall 2
A lot of my fears for the upcoming season have been somewhat alleviated. A good spirited performance especially in the second half, the team look well drilled and jelled together already.
Hilton looks the real deal, and Darren Carter is slick and is just the professional head we need to perhaps stay up this season.
I'm looking forward to Chester now.

Darren "Fabregas" Carter. Love how he moves about doing his business so effortlessly, plays some wonderful passes as well.

Re: Solihull Moors 3 Walsall 2
We seem well blessed with players that can play down the middle just off the forwards so it suprised me to see No 12 yesterday dark hair and a bit of a pony tail come on as a trialist.
We haven't seen Lait Sammons or Benbow yet either.
Where was Barnwell he was named on the team sheet but I didn't notice him.
Is the big lad at the back Willock from the youth team.
Notice Kobe Arthur started for Macclesfield yesterday v Derby.
Macclesfield had a trialist keeper. That's where I was looking for a trialist plus this centre half that was talked about.
With Shep sorry 'Dave' present looks like Will M-B who I thought had looked good maybe won't be needed.
The other trialist certainly looks a player Liburd big strong i think he got mixed comments and agin its a position we have cover for with Flanagan sitting in the stands.

Re: Solihull Moors 3 Walsall 2
I think the trialist you referred to as Libard was
Thomas who has already signed?
Were you on about the left back?

Big lad at the back? We had
Liburd K.Green Kettle Thomas
Thomas isn't exactly big but his a full back already signed from Boston. Liburd is the big lad at full back.
I rate Mellows Blair, Think he would be great coming off the bench. Think he offers more than Dunkley

He has a double name Liburd. Played LB v Barwell and Highgate and RB v Walsall.
What do people think.

I'm talking about second half....
