Re: BEEF up the atmosphere against Chester !!
Home support has always been flat first half. We tend to attack the Drain End and fans are consequently more spread out. Plus, Statto is the talisman and he's out doing the 50/50. Jono tries his best but he doesn't have the lungs or the gravitas that Statto has.
Fildes, why are you apologising to that random d-bag? Everyone else gets to talk shite freely, so should you!

If air-horns and drums become a feature of Moors games then I will be finding somewhere else to go when Blues are not playing. No need whatsoever. Genuine atmosphere is generated by the fans alone. If you want to make a childish noise join a play group.

I agree it is not needed but to stop going because of it is abit silly. Just find somewhere else to sit/stand away from it. I certainly will be if it happens again.

That can be the problem with some Moors supporters.
If you want to sit in silence , then a library could be a better venue for you.
It is a competitive sporting event , for goodness sake.
Most visiting teams are now bringing drums , trumpets etc.
Even in tennis and cricket, there is far more noise, than there used to be.
Most people now think football has lost its passionate atmosphere , especially in the higher leagues.
Hence the likes of Celtic having installed safe terracing.
You are allowed to enjoy life at football.

Rather than waste money in buying a drum, and of course fellow supporters' patience, I propose banning all drums from the stadium on health and safety grounds. The serious injury caused to the drummer when and how it is inserted must be taken into consideration.

Re: BEEF up the atmosphere against Chester !!
You really are deluded if you think the horn did any good last night. It was out of tune and wasn't even doing the tune of the song that was being sung.
If you really think a horn helps I think your at the wrong club totally as it'll probably be shoved up your arse soon enough more than likely by someone.
Fildes, don't move away from the horn. Make the horn move away from you. You shouldn't have to move Becuase you want to watch a game without a childish noise going on.

I certainly do not want to sit or stand in silence. I love a noisy football stadium. But you do not need a drum to do it. It sounds contrived and orchestrated at best and just annoying at worst. A proper atmosphere is spontaneous.
By the way, the last time I visited a library I did not sit in silence. I sat reading a book.

Re: BEEF up the atmosphere against Chester !!
I don't know what was the worst sound in the stadium last night the out of tune horn or the Hyena noise made by one of the Chester fans everytime Nathan kicked the ball in the 2nd half.

Re: BEEF up the atmosphere against Chester !!
I really thought the South African World Cup was enhanced by the lepatata Mambu, or vuvuzela, a joyous celebration of life akin to the Brazilian samba beats of the conga drums, until the joy police all but banned it at football grounds outside of South Africa, where it has been used for decades, and at various competitions since, including the Olympic games. Whilst I would object to the screeching of a violin being annihilated by some one who didn't have any musicality or ability, a drum is the most common musical instrument and has been around and played by all and sundry since the beginning of time, I would only suggest a little practice before any public appearance is made! Bring on the drummers, nature's natural time keepers!
