Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
I understand the capacity is currently 3050.
Seats 770.
It states on Wikipedia , there are plans to develop all sides of ground , to increase capacity to 4313.
Who actually owns our ground / who owns the land / field behind the TV gantry ?
Could another entry / exit point to the car park be put in place ?
Is the car park being used by Land Rover employees during the week , to generate income ?

Re: Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
I think the 3050 figure is out of date.
One of the club's companies (probably the holding company rather than the club itself) owns the site.
The car park is used by Land Rover during the week and, from what I understand, generates a lot of money.

The car park is used, or rather partly used by LandRover, as I found out when I was refused a spot at the last home night game. They are more important than the regular supporters and is why I will never pay to park at Moors ever again.

Re: Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
£2 to park in a bomb crater never ceases to irritate me when I go to matches.
I agree with you Roj. Piss poor if you you get turned away on match day because the car park is used by another party (even if they do make money from it).
I dont park there anymore and will probably not go anywhere near as often as I have a long walk to get there.
Moors and PR isnt a natural partnership.

Just don't take my spot in the housing estate!
Was there a game last night?

Oh you have your own private piece of road to park on do you?
No there wasn't a game last night or the night before that: try to keep up with the fixtures Martyr.

Re: Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
I stopped parking there about a year ago when the jobsworth on the gate wouldn't let me in, even though I was due to be selling the 50/50 tickets!
I have been offered my own free parking space on the estate, on the drive of one of the residents.

Re: Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
Here is a clue no car park for rover equals no football club where do you think the income comes from they park 48 weeks of the year and must be looked after so if anyone has ever been refused entry (very very rare)speak to someone from the club and I'm sure it could be sorted

Re: Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
I understand the income flow from JLR is absolutely necessary but in my case it wasn't a midweek evening game, it was a Saturday. I did speak to someone at the club to no avail.

Re: Solihull Moors FC " Ground "
Ok Clive then a apology is due if it happens again at any game ask the gate staff and you will be catered for it is the exception not the rule but sometimes the club are caught out numbers wise it's very hard to guesstimate how many are attending on any given match
