Re: Barrow v Solihull Moors 30/12/2017 updates and commentary
Still not been good enough over the season though fildes, he should be putting in a prrformance every match being our captain and leader not 1 in 3 or 4. but so far you’d have to agree he’s been poor for the majority of the season

Re: Barrow v Solihull Moors 30/12/2017 updates and commentary
I disagree Tom. That's his sixth goal of the season for us. He has been an important figure and our failings are not down to him, moreover our expectations of him and the team being inflated beyond their delivery.
I think what was missing was concentration organisation and stability at the back pre Yates and guile skill and unpredictability going forward (from which we still suffer)
We miss the likes of Sterling and Regan CK and have not played as dynamically without such players this season. A settled squad with Carter would be a stronger squad.
On a separate note... I think the chap who stared this thread promised to kiss himself in an un-hygienic way if "crock Carter played more than twenty times this season"
Can this be performed on the pitch at half time on Monday when revealing the 50/50 result?

Sorry Clive a public statement requires a public display.
Whilst I respect your privacy and 'cajones' for making such a promise, I feel at the very least the act should have been documented. Perhaps a separate number be drawn on the 50/50 to check the footage of your promise and verify... failing that the next Moors player to be sent off gets that task.

Busi, I agree that we need more concentration organisation and stability but surely carter should be at the fore front of that but sadly I don’t see him being much of a leader. He doesn’t encourage the team much especially on the things you mentioned where the captain should be doing that or at least helping.
Fildes, I said every player played well today. You bought up carter....

Re: Barrow v Solihull Moors 30/12/2017 updates and commentary
Every player did the Moors proud today, tight at the bottom of the league now, not many clubs have played us off the park this season, with bit of luck going our way I think we could pull off a great escape.Scrappy first half but I think the Moors coped better with the strong wind behind them than Barrow did in the first half. The first shout for a penalty was more clear cut than the one that was given, again the officials we not the best, as Statto pointed out to the referee on a number of occasions his shortcomings (as only Statto can). Would have loved the shot from Daly straight from the kick off to have gone in, the keeper was well beaten. Great welcome from the staff and stewards of Barrow, great day out all round.

Could not agree more. Very friendly club and all the more welcoming for 3 points. The keeper was well beaten with the Daly lob on half term. Shame it couldnt of gone in......very enjoyable day....)

Great result. Defence looks miles better with Kristian Green. Need to build on this.
