The Blues forum has a whole sub forum for Politics. You don’t get that on many football message boards. emoticon

Interesting spread between right and left at the Blues too. Very diverse fan base in that respect.

Yeah, it’s a good read sometimes but there are a lot of people who just blow hot air and believe their own shite most of the time.

A bit like on here.

Re: England in the World Cup

In a World Cup or any higher echelons of football it requires at some point for a manager to be brave. Now In England's circumstance it was extra time at the very latest for that manager to be brave. After all, luck tends to favour the brave.

So what does Southgate do. He brings on Eric Dier. Now Eric Dier is not a footballer, he has no creativity whatsoever and the average man on the street could do what he does, play 5 yard passes (90% backwards) let’s go back to brave. What Southgate should have done was put Loftus Cheek on and played him wide and said....get the ball and run at them, get the ball and make it happen ffs. It would have unnerved Croatia and put England on front foot. Let’s go down trying to win at least!

Instead he punted for Dier, totally submitting to penalties which is a 50/50 toss of a coin. Had he have brought on Loftus Cheek and Vardy, did he not think that was a better punt than a 50/50 toss of a coin. HE BOTTLED IT.

And whilst bottling it, he stood there mute. Brave managers rally the team on in these circumstances. Did Southgate fall into the Steve McLaren trap? Cast your minds back to that World Cup win or bust qualifier under the wally with the brolly. He cared more about what his receeding hairline would look like if it got wet that rallying his troops. Southgate I believe cared more about his waistcoat splitting if he’d done the same.

In conclusion, it hasn’t been a great World Cup for England. They played 4 cack teams and lost to the first avaerage on and “messiah” Southgate proved once again that he’s the bottler he always was. A half decent Championship side would have got to the semis with the teams England played.

You need to justify my stupidity. It’s all very easy to come up with comments like “your stupid swifty” and I’m happy to take a look in the mirror and realise it if you counter my arguments. Let me give you a hand.

Were Tunisia beatable? I say hell yes.

Would you expect Solihull Moors to beat Panama? I say that’s probably a 50/50 game so 5 times out of 10 yes

Would you expect England to beat Columbia with by far and wide their best player out injured? Blindfolded for me but went to pens.

Did Sweden play well Vs England? In my view they were pathetic.

Did Southgate bottle it tonight? ABSOLUTELY he did.

How can you disagree with the above? You can’t or you will show yourself up for being STUPID.

Oh one last thing, are you a better and more creative footballer than Eric Dier. I’d wager that you ARE.

As for you OjiveOJive, I take you’re endorsement as a compliment and have a sneaky suspicion you realise my managerial qualities to their full extent.

Listen if I can motivate Akwase Asante from a sedentary position to back to back hatricks for him to cup his ear at me in response, can you just imagine what I’d be like in that circle at the start of extra time.

It would have been a battle cry, clenched fist, veins bulging (amongst other things) but also a tender loving eye for those that needed it in times of need. “We’ve come this far you slags, DONT YOU DARE BOTTLE IT. I don’t effing care if you lose but if you lose not trying to win you will never forgive yourself. GO EFFING TAKE the game to them and to help you I’ve got Vardy and Loftus Cheek coming on”

Southgate quivering whispers “oh guys your all so great, it’s the taking part that counts not winning. I’ll bring on Eric Dier lads so he gets the chance to pass it to his own goalie from midfield so he can get practice for the penalties I’m playing for”
