SMFC " Expanding " Fan Base Project - Your Suggestions .
Spoke to a number of Neutral Fans , around Birmingham , today.
Overall , the following conclusions, came about, to potentially increase Moors footfall:
1) £10.00 Adult Admission Charge ( not £15.00 ) - except for Cat A games, like Orient , Chesterfield , Salford City , when make it £15.00 . I think Salford City do charge £10.00.
2) Free School tickets for Moors matches - get them early , so to speak.
3) Introduce Instragram - personally , I don't know much about this concept.
4) On Line, advanced , discounted ticketing - people will be committed to attend , even if it Rains / the Weather is not particularly good, on the day.
5) A Moors Football Programme , which truly " connects " the Players / Management , with the Supporters e.g. also include a Spot the Moors Supporter Photo competition - to win a Prize ( many other Clubs do this ) , Moors Supporter Profiles - with their likes , interests , with their photo too ( Many League Clubs do this ).
Your Suggestions...
It is up to existing Moors Fans, to get some impetus on this , to move the Club forward and indeed towards League 2 status.

Re: SMFC " Expanding " Fan Base Project - Your Suggestions .
Noticed TIM BCFC, as a Moors Forum user name...
Nice to see him at the Q & A on Tuesday night.
A good compromise, for Tim , to edit his username slightly...
TIM SMFC / BCFC
Or indeed
TIM 1) SMFC 2) BCFC

Re: SMFC " Expanding " Fan Base Project - Your Suggestions .
That these neutral fans are aware of these perceived shortcomings is rather remarkable as it shows good awareness of the club. Perhaps they were all at the Fans Forum as those points, bar admission reduction, were raised there.
As Calvin said, ticket pricing is difficult to pitch and when setting should not be influenced by other clubs in the vicinity. I think he was saying Moors need to have a budget for income from gate receipts and set pricing accordingly.
Talking to him afterwards he did promise to look at pricing for 12-18 yr olds, currently £10, which he conceded is too high.

Re: SMFC " Expanding " Fan Base Project - Your Suggestions .
A £10 ticket would mean a potential loss of £100,000 on an average gate of 1000. We would need an extra 500 on the gate to make up the difference. We are in a market where our admission fee is already at the lower end of the scale. At our level £15 is not expensive and, as happened in our promotion season, people are willing to pay for an enjoyable afternoon watching a successful team.

You did NOT see Tim BCFC at the Forum because I was not there!
I certainly will NOT compromise. I will always be Blues.

Not a fan of putting categories on games. If I pay £10 to watch Solihull Moors at home, why should my ticket price go up by 50% just because Leyton Orient / Chesterfield / Salford are in town?
I would us to be in a position where we would only charge £12 for adults for all games, but we need to earn a certain amount of money through the turnstiles.
2) Free School tickets for Moors matches - get them early , so to speak.
Agree with this. Children at infant or junior level to get free entry or even a nominal amount of £1 for primary school aged children. Charge £3 or £5 for children of secondry school age.
Free Junior and Adult Season Ticket for each registered player of any of the Solihull Moors Junior Teams.
3) Introduce Instragram - personally , I don't know much about this concept.
I do not know enough about about Instragram to say it is something we should introduce
4) On Line, advanced , discounted ticketing - people will be committed to attend , even if it Rains / the Weather is not particularly good, on the day.
Re on-line purchases, how is this going to be managed? Print at home or collect at club? Don't forget we do not have a Ticket Office (yet).

Just on point 3, we do have Instagram and are very active on it as well as all our other media channels.
We now have a full time media and communications person at the club and you should hopefully have seen that the club’s media presence has already improved dramatically in such a short period of time.

The video of the training session on the Facebook page this morning was a nice idea, would like to see more of that kind of thing 👍

It would be great to get this changed. This put some of my mates off this season who have been to plenty of away matches in the past. People talking about making as much money out of this age category as possible are thinking in a short term view. It's better to attract as many younger fans as possible so they continue to support the Moors as they get older (like myself.) £10 is hardly a cheap alternative to Villa or Blues for this age group.
