Good exposure, taking advantage of what is presumably a slow news week domestically speaking with the international break.

I do find it mildly depressing that we now apparently have an "official betting partner". Is nowhere safe??

Both articles are a decent read. Thanks for sharing!

Flowers comes across well in both articles, talks a lot of sense. The point about "power football" in this league is evident in the players he's brought in and our style of play. Our back 4 can certainly hold its own now, compared to this time last season when they were getting bullied every week, home and away. Throughout the rest of the side there is just the right balance of "power" players (Storer, Maxwell, Wright, Thomas) and "technique" players (Osborne, O'Keefe, Hylton, Yusuf) Seems to be a successful combination.

I agree about the official betting being sad and tedious. We must all make sure we all "Bet responsibly" (delivered in a gravely macho voice) which probably means not at all.

This was announced back in August.

I am in two minds about it. As long as you are only gambling what you can afford it is not a problem. The problems start when you chase bets and bet recklessly.

Yep. 100 percent correct. I have exp in this. I put a 6 quid acca on a few teams last nite 1 of the turkey. As soon as i put the bet on i said to someone that they would draw. Guess what they drew 0 0.

If everyone suddenly followed the advice to "bet responsibly" the industry would surely collapse.

Anyway, on the positive side this particular partnership must be relatively understated, given that it's taken me 3 months to become aware of its existence.

they skim maybe 5% on bets, the government skims 20% off their profits (if they are daft enough to base in the UK) More fool all of us.
No problem with gambling but permit the rich expoloit people with addiction, leave them to the wolves, whilst permitting a tax system where the poor pay for the poor and the billionaires run off to their permitted havens with everyone's money, outdated tax system that kills us all in the name of 'free trade'.

Telegraph article HERE

Can I just, once again, request that if one references an article on the web, that one includes a link, to save us all the trouble of having to trawl through loads of crap in order to find the relevant article.
