Ex Moors player doing OK
I note that Adam Cunnington, late of this parish, is currently plying his trade in the National South with Billericay Town, currently leading the Vanarama South.

Re: Ex Moors player doing OK
He was very good for us in his 1 season. He scored a class goal away at Gloucester I think it was. Scored two at Redditch as well.

Re: Ex Moors player doing OK
We were very lucky that season. Cunnington left us as out top goalscorer, and Matt Smith came in and equalled him before the season was out.
The Cunnington thunderbolt at Gloucester was the same day I had words with some teenage lads who were shouting the racist P word at Jas Singh. They promptly shat themselves, denied they'd said a thing, shut up, and moved away. Ironically he ended up playing for them and being a fan favourite there.
I remember being in a mass group hug behind the goal at Vauxhall Motors after Smith had scored the second of his brace (?) that day (did we lose 3-2 in the end, or were we celebrating a 3-2 winner?). His hands were superhumanly soft. Like being embraced by a Norwegian Formula model.

Re: Ex Moors player doing OK
Yeah that was my one visit to Vauxhall, we lost 3-2 I think, it was definitely a defeat anyway. If I remember correctly we went 2-0 up and they quickly brought it back.
I want to say that was their only win that season? They resigned from the league before the end of the season?

Re: Ex Moors player doing OK
IMO Matt Smith best ex moors player. Not far behind Marvin Johnson ,who cost Middlesboro £2.5 million from Oxford Und . On season loan at Sheff.Und now . google him to see his career goals and assists

Re: Ex Moors player doing OK
The goal that Matty Smith scored at Vauxhall Motors was the final goal in a 3-3 draw. I remember more the winner in got in a 3-2 home win over Hyde United.
Re the 3-2 Vauxhall defeat that was in 2007/08 and yes we were 2-0 up at half time. A player called Paul Taylor tore us apart in the second half.
