I hope the tuck shop charged him for the sweets he had for the bbc. On the sotv chants i found it quite funny. Yes they were kids that were singing it cuz they were also singing it at the salford game and i told them to save it for the day after. But if we got vila in the next round if we get thru the replay i will also be singing it. And i agree with windy lets stop the blues villa comments. Yesterday was about solihull moors.

Summed it all up for me about what Dublin is like as a person when I was queuing for a burger once in Stratford and he walked up to the front of the queue and the burger owner, who didn’t have a clue who Dublin was, asked him to join the queue and Dublin then came up with the phrase that shows how arrogant he is - ‘Do you not know who I am!’ Absolutely unbelievable!!

So it's not about Blues and Villa it's about Dion Dublin. Please move the posts to unconnected jottings if it means more to people about Dublin buying a burger than the success of our wonderful club

Apologies but conversations do get diverted into other directs and often cut-de-sacs. Interesting to me that the Moors' match was heard quite often in conversations at StAndrews today.

Exactly right. There were two guys sat in front of me and it was interesting listening to them talk about the disallowed goal and their different views. One of them even got his phone out to download the match to look at the goal so the game and the disallowed goal has definitely made Moors become a talking point and raised the profile of the club which is what we all want.

The OP had a clear reference to Blues in it (28th Feb 2011), so I don't quite understand why Windy is getting so salty about the Dion Dublin stuff.

As for the SOTV chanting - as Psycho Mouse said, kids who aren't Moors fans who didn't know what else to sing so started Blues chants. Thing is with the 'tourists' on nights like this is they can't just turn up and watch, they feel like they have to make it all about themselves as well. But that's fine. We'll take their money thank you very much and see them again in a few years the next time they decide we're relevant.

Thank you Moor5. I thought this was an open forum where anything could be talked about and discussed. I didn’t realise it was so regimented and we were censored on what could be discussed.

Great atmosphere, great occasion, great performance and a decent result on reflection.

Watched the BBC coverage over the weekend and very impressed by the effort they put in to promote Moors. The interviews around the ground, references to the club’s heritage and interviews with players and coaching staff were all top notch.

Thought Tim Flowers and James Quinn came across very well, spoke a lot of sense with a bit of humour. Most impressed with Darryl Eales, presented himself and the club very well - humble, ambitious and community-focussed. Feels like the club is in very good hands at the moment!
