Re: Arsenal!

First story on the sports news on the Chris Evans show on Radio 2 was about the Moors with an interview with Mark Fogarty about the draw. more good publicity raising the profile of the Moors. Mark said that even if we don't progress past Blackpool how good is it to see Solihull Moors drawn out of the hat against a team like Arsenal.

I didn’t think ties were allowed to be switched anymore? Certainly not to a neutral venue anyway.

Sutton vs both Leeds and Arsenal, Liverpool at Havant (?) and Newcastle at Yeading are recent examples of ties being played properly.

Liverpool were drawn at home to Havant & Waterlooville.

My understanding of the rules are that the game cannot be switched for financial reasons. Lets say for example that our ground can hold 5000 supporters. If we then switch it to St Andrews and get a crowd of 20,000 (made up numbers as this is only an example), then we only get the share of the gate receipts for the first 5000 people with the rest of the "extra" money we earn from going to St Andrews possibly going to the FA.

if we beat Blackpool
It’s a huge if I can imagine at least 1 temporary stand being erected for The Arsenal match just where the Burger van used to be.
I expect licensing from Solihull might be a sticking point!

Re: Arsenal!

We have to believe this team can go to Blackpool and get a result. We have a very good and united team I believe, with a remarkable record recently, whereas Blackpool have an open warfare with their supporters who don't want their club to benefit from any FA money which they believe will be going to a chairman they hate. This must reflect upon their team.
0001 demonstrating typical Yorkist negativity.

If Moors beat Blackpool ...

Let's hope the Gunners " shoot themselves in the foot " at Damson Park.

The icing on the cake 🎂 would be a Ronnie Radford ⚽️ * ( Jamie Osbourne Solihull Moors style , though ), from 30 yards out or so , to beat ARSEnal.

* When Hereford beat Newcastle United in the 1970s , when all those wearing Green Parkas ran onto the pitch.
