Re: Aldershot Town v Solihull Moors 12/02/2019 updates and commentary
Great night for the 59 Moors fans who travelled to Aldershot on a weekday night to witness first hand our win.
And it shows what an inspired signing Nathan Blissett was, a few weeks ago, having him replace the suspended Danny Wright with a hat trick tonight. Our recent depth in strength team building could be a great help over next few weeks.

Re: Aldershot Town v Solihull Moors 12/02/2019 updates and commentary
Aldershot are a poor side, but we still had to grind it out tonight. Excellent work from the whole team to put us top of the table. We must be the most unlikely title challengers in recent National League history.
Perhaps that was why the Aldershot fans chose tonight to turn on their own team. Bit disrespectful really - they didn't play well but will surely have lower ebbs than a home loss to a side going top of the table.
We should have had a chance for four tonight with a stonewall penalty not given in the first half shortly after we'd taken a 1-0 lead.
Just seen the Bliss interview. His first pro hat trick so massive congratulations to him on a top performance tonight.

Re: Aldershot Town v Solihull Moors 12/02/2019 updates and commentary
The whole team were fantastic today, very impressed with Vaughan at fullback who seemed to offer more than Reckord or Williams IMO.
Aldershot were poor but it wasn’t for a lack of trying, they put the effort in, but they just weren’t very good. Not sure why their fans decided to turn on them tbh, it’s not they players fault they’re clearly a worse team than us.
Statto summed it up perfectly during the celebrations for the 2nd goal tonight.
”How far away does Vauxhall Motors feel now?!?”
I’m going to remember this game for a long time, and I’m sure anybody who was at that game at Vauxhall, one of the Blyth 7, or at the first ever game against Barrow, will be as proud as I am tonight.

I was listening to the BBC Radio Surrey commentary. Incredible to be told that Aldershot, in all competitions, have now not won any of their last 17 games. No wonder their fans are fed up.
The attendance last night, very low. Their fans clearly preferred to watching Champions League football on TV, rather than going to the live match at Aldershot.

Re: Aldershot Town v Solihull Moors 12/02/2019 updates and commentary
After the unpleasantness of Saturdays game never has their been a bigger turn around. I must say how impressive and dedicated their large support behind the goal was. Considering their recent results they sang co tinuously well rehearsed songs and gave great support.
Stewards and fans alike welcoming players who tried to play. No histrionics diving moaning at ref. Fair tackles ...blimey if Blissett and the keeper clashed like that at ebbsfleet they'd still be fighting now.
Sorry to see Aldershot struggling glad they've stayed with the manager. They play football and at times they got some good moves goin g down the right.
We however without Wrighty were mightily impressive. How pleased I am for everyone. It's a mighty achievement and Storers boys deserve it. Long may it continue...

This is sort of my point. The worst part of that run isn't going to be getting outplayed by a side going top of the league.
