Our first game in this division was away at Sutton.

I remember it well becuase I only just made it on time for kick off as I managed to get an early finish from work and had to dash down the m40 at a speed I can’t mention.

First game, a nice sunny Saturday afternoon, away at either Torquay or Fylde.

Being able to do the same this year would be good.

I was thinking Torquay away hopefully the sun might have come out by then, but the thought of trying to get past Bristol on a Saturday in August fills me with dread.

I was there. A former colleague of mine was living near the ground at the time and gave me a load of !@#$ for being at such a 'crap game'. Her loss. A great Moors win.

Nowhere near our first match, we played them on a Tuesday night the season before!

You missed 7 Sep Wrexham H will be off as we start our Tunnocks Cup.

Now honestly everyone. Who has and who hasn't!! Me I love them and the Aldi copies..they are obv. .Scottish origin, spent a bit of time there as youngster.

They even had something similar in wafers from the ice cream vans. You had a soft ice in a wafer sandwich not a cone. Very messy to eat.but lovely.

Not only that, two weeks earlier, also in March, away at Fylde.

Not good seaside weather in March!

Re: Fixture release in 3 weeks

Can only assume Wrexham (H) was scheduled deliberately for Tunnock's weekend as it means only one fixture needs rearranging rather than two.

Given we thought we might be the odd man out in the Xmas schedules, Chesterfield x2 and Notts County seems a good result. Hoping the Magpies are still handling the culture shock when we visit them early September.

As for Torquay, we got the plum Aug Bank Hol slot v them 2 years back so we can hardly complain now.
