Re: Homophobic chanting

Point taken MOOR5.

This discussion has prompted me to now go away and delve into the history of "Ginger" discrimination to see where it originated from and if there is any history to it. I've never really thought about that before, I've just always accepted it as that's the way it is.

I say this not so that I can have some entitled right to be outraged and offended by Ginger slurs, mind, just because I'm genuinely now intrigued!

Re: Homophobic chanting

So I shouted your not Billy boys your Nancy boys, that's a scottish girl's name a couple of times when there players fell over at the nearest of a touch. In the first half. Not the second half.
( If you're going to take over the asylum get your facts right. At least get your insults right. I'm flippin livid someone dares to ramble on swearing for no reason talk alode of rubbish and call himself educated. Well that could have been said in half the print. Get a life.)

Don't make things up, I never shouted anything at goalkicks.

I'll not intervene in the future if your insults to the locals stir up a ginger prick who was about to knock your block off in the future.

I don't really see what I said has anything to do with you or whether I said they're scissys for falling over and playing dead. Many called that.i wasnt alone.

As as for my shirt ha ha ha

No one said anything to those kids at the end, they were morons looking for trouble.

I don't think sticking up for yourself when people maliciously pick apart or mock yours and others sexuality in a public place or on a public forum is a "lifestyle problem" as you so eloquently put it.

I would encourage you to choose your words wisely Rich, however judging by your prose you're either drunk or in a fit of rage so that maybe why.

Re: Homophobic chanting

I find it offensive and profoundly disappointing to see LGBT rights being referred to as a "pet subject".

Football fans, however naively, hold their view that their club is special. I've long since felt this about the Moors in my 12-odd years supporting the club. I can't believe that, after all this time, I'm reaching the stage where I genuinely don't feel comfortable with some of the absolute shite I've heard at the last few matches.

That aside, I would like to thank Richard for his efforts to calm down the completely unprovoked aggression from a few idiots from Kelty after the Penalty Shootout towards myself and others.

Re: Homophobic chanting

Aww, Richard. Don't think you have to read everything on this forum just on my account. There is an option not to read threads and posts that don't interest you. I do it pretty much every time I see you've started a thread.

Since I'd effectively outed myself in starting this thread (another horrible feeling you'll never understand), I thought I may as well let it all hang out and give a personal example of what homophobia can do to people. Once one secret goes, why not share the rest?

I'm sorry you weren't impressed by my reference to willies. Would you prefer if I told you about the time when I was five or six and my mom walked into our kitchen while I was singing Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood and shaking my bum, only to dance and sing harder when I saw how much it made her smile?

I don't think we particularly needed looking out for on Saturday. My dad, who is built like a weightlifter, was already there, as was Tandy who is probably taller than Blissett and twice as husky. Not to mention the large number of Moors fans around and the friendly steward on hand to separate the groups.

I understand why you need to maintain certain delusions about your role as a peacemaker given your usual reputation for 'looking out' involves getting bystanders caught up in brawls, shouting at bartenders, and accidentally walking into the broom cupboard and starting a ruck with yourself. Maybe I get the last one, though. It can be claustrophobic to be stuck in the closet, after all.

Peace and love, Rich. Maybe now that the gays have taken over Solihull Moors, we can get that XXX section of the club shop up and running. The warning signs were there with our pink away strip, after all.

xx
