Correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember Adi's record from 12 yards last season was, quite literally, hit and miss.

Bizarre that he's been back at the club less than a week and jumped straight to the top of the penalty pecking order, only to miss again.

Agree with you.

Should not be the number one penalty taker.

Maybe Tim Flowers should do more training , regarding penalties !!!

So we have nobody else other than the above four - plus Hancox and Nicholls who notched excellently in the shootout at Kelty - who fancy taking a penalty ahead of a striker with something of a reputation for consistently fluffing key penalties in Moors colours?

Errr, that's his strongest foot. Most of his goals have come from his left foot!

Thought he looked good saturday. Disappointed with him last night and as for the penalty, well I'm speechless.
Didn't the ball go in ?? Anyway shouldn't it have been a goal. I'd gone round to dugout and this young stockport player i spoke to thought so too...

"Soli The Moor Cat" should be higher up the penalty-taking order than Adi!

Nicholls is now longer with us and Hancox was still on the bench.

I would be more confident with Adi taking a penalty than Reckord, Daly, Gudger, Howe, Vaughan or Storer.

Well you could have fooled me on the evidence of that effort last night!?

Bizarre that picking a spot just inside the post and then kicking the ball hard at it should give players so much difficulty.

Appreciate that there can be a bit of tension,,, but then again, isn't kicking a ball what they do. Would be like a bus driver panicking every time he had to drive his bus under a bridge.

Obviously needs a lot more practice. Seen far to many misses from the spot. No harm done last night but could be lost points on another day. Waste of the effort in getting the penalty award.

In cases such as last night, where there is a deliberate handball to stop a goal-bound shot, I think a goal should be awarded anyway (if there is no doubt that a goal would have been scored, but for the handball)... a bit like a penalty try in rugby. The offender should still be sent off, same punishment as a "professional foul". There's no excuse for a player deliberately handling the ball other than to cheat the opposition out of a goal.

...and I'm not just saying that because we're crap at taking penalties!

I agree - saves ugly scenes like Suarez running down the tunnel celebrating after he deliberately denied Ghana a winning goal in a World Cup knockout game.
