Which Paul Robinson? There are several ex-footballers with that name. Is it the former England goalkeeper?

He means the former Birmingham City player.

Have to be careful what you wish for but Flowers going is best chance of playoffs. The whole squad needs a lift and imho much better organisation and stronger leadership on the pitch.

Why would we replace Flowers with two young coaches with no experience?

It would be bloody legendary if we interviewed Ian Evatt before tonight's game and he comes out to the Moors dugout at the start of the match! emoticon emoticon emoticon

Young managers have to start somewhere, and don't forget Tim had very little management experience before this.

Tim had been given the top job as continuity Yates, though. He'd proven himself as part of the successful great escape.

I appreciate that there needs to be a route into management for people starting out on that career path, but I don't see how appointing people with no senior experience can be the right move for a club aiming to make the playoffs.

I’m usually against manager sackings unless absolutely necessary. We are 9th in the league and are competitive in the majority of matches we play, however this feels like the right decision. The football has been woeful in the last few months - down there with the stuff we were playing under McDonald in 2016/17. I don’t even know what our game plan was supposed to be.

Got to give Flowers credit though - last season was incredible.

I agree that tactically we have lost our way in recent times.

Recruitment-wise, Flowers was pretty successful. Boot, Gudger, Howe and Wright have all been excellent signings. McCallum hasn't been used effectively unfortunately.

Fingers crossed we make a sensible, forward-thinking decision on the next manager... don't want to see another "Dickie Dosh" situation.
