And if you like that guff Mr Dad, you should try out Forces TV!!!
I have occasionally hovered on the bodge - and that is not a euphemism M00R5 - at Forces TV. Some great Television nostalgia to be found on there: 'UFO' 'Sapphire and Steel' 'The Equalizer' 'Bless This House' 'The Dukes of Hazard' 'Men Behaving Badly' and the brilliant, but underrated, 'Shelley'.
Don't get me wrong there was some absolute poo produced on TV in the seventies and eighties but, in general, wasn't the telly just better back then?
P.S. Apologies to the admins for going 'off thread'.

Re: Golden Age
One thing 70s TV was definitely objectively better at than any other era was showcasing sex offenders. Got to give you that one.

'Showcasing sex offenders'? I can't recall that programme. Was it the predecessor of 'Britains Got Abusers'?

Re: Golden Age
Greetings all. Apologies for deviating off the original topic.
Repeated in the early 70's, The Prisoner with Patrick McGoohan. How ahead of its time was that programme. Striking similarities to lockdown.
And one of my all time favorites, The Persuaders. Always fancied myself as a Danny Wilde at 10 years old.

Indeed, being retired has similar consequences.
