Either way I'm prepared to take a £100 punt on seeing some football next season and would not go seeking a refund if it failed to materialise.

Re: When do you think the season will start?
Me too. I think the logic behind the £100 season ticket, which is less than last season's concessionary rate for old farts like me, is that should there be closed doors games, season ticket holders might be able to attend with social distancing intact.

Re: When do you think the season will start?
Ojivex2, I have to say that this is the discussion that our little trio are having.
If we do invest in a season ticket, something I would normally do I want to be sure that 3 of us, 2 previous long standing season ticket holders and one other who wants to join us more regularly in 20/21, having lost patience with and energy for going to Sunderland as a home season ticket holder.
I imagine that two of us would easily qualify, but supposing the second wave was to wipe out the season would we be offered refunds? I know we have just let the remaining games from 19/20 drift away and thought it fair enough as supporters, but as discussed before there are several subscritions to charities, Compton Verney, National Trust, Tate, etc that we have not cancelled, yet.
Will Wrinkly Pete, ex-Sunderland, have any trouble getting a ticket?
Do we get any allocated seats? How could this be achieved?
Can we do a car share between the three of us and get a parking space using one subscription.
Posting this as a way of sharing the thoughts before we meet up on Sunday to make decisions.
(And I guess I need to be aware of Martyr's thoughts).

It seems that ST holders can go wherever they wish to, seats or standing, at their own discretion.
As for parking the cost would appear to be for one vehicle, irrespective of tye number of passengers

Re: When do you think the season will start?
If we don’t buy season tickets the club are going to have zero income.
I’m willing to pay the £100 in the hope we do get to see all of next seasons home Games. If we don’t then, oh well. It’s £100 that’s gone to the club. But like our current ST’s and missing the remaining 4 or so home games.

Re: When do you think the season will start?
Understand your point. I have thought about buying a holiday to Italy afer all i'm sure Ryanair would like to have the money irrespective of whether I actually go or not. The subscriptions I do still have all have charitable status. If the club wants a gift from me that should be made clear.

Re: When do you think the season will start?
This is all sounding very negative from my perspective but I am weighing up pros and cons for 2 more days then jumping for a ticket I suspect.

Hmmm I get what your saying but I’m not sure you could compare a multi million pound business like Ryanair to a non league club which is part of the local community that we all enjoy / love going to watch & support every week.
For £100 you could only attend half the games and your still getting a bargain.

Re: When do you think the season will start?
Well said Matt.
I will be investing if I can, and if I don't get to see any matches then it will be worth it if it helps my club in what must be a really dodgy time.
Think that we all have different perspectives and different finances, so wouldn't want to be too judgmental.
Having said that at £100 or £120 (if VAT is added) you break even after 8 games if value for money is prime concern.
You would have to be really unlucky to not get your moneys worth.
(Appreciate, if your looking for parking as well then that might be different).

Re: When do you think the season will start?
I think so long as there is transparency around the Ts and Cs, folk can make an informed choice. I'm fortunate enough to be able to contemplate paying £100 and demanding no guarantee of attendance in return, for others that is perhaps not the case. Then there will be some who can afford to effectively donate the money but choose not to do so. All are perfectly valid positions to take.
