When will football fans be allowed to return?

https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/football/2020/jul/09/banning-away-support-being-considered-to-get-fans-into-grounds-next-season

An article on what could happen when football fans return to watch their team.

I don't like the idea of designated time slots where you have to be in the ground for.

I'm not keen on toilets being closed at half time and would welcome ddsignated times for a pee.
In general I want to be able to watch Moors live at home at least, so will put up with some in-conveniences (pun intended).

In the article that Fildes has kindly posted it states about bringing alcohol to people's seats (obviously talking about Premier League games) to stop people brushing past each other. I would go the other way of stopping the sale of food and drinks in the ground during the phased re-opening of grounds.

People can sit through a theatre performance or a film in a cinema without food or drink.

Agreed. Food & drink isn't essential at a football match.

Indeed. If I think I might get peckish duribg a game I'll put a Mars bar in my pocket beforehand. I'm sorry it will not do much for the livelihoods of those operating burger vans and the like, but it is very hard to see such catering being compatible with the matchday experience any time in the immediate future.

Whatever it takes to watch live football I will put up with. Will be interesting to see how it will work for allowing visiting fans and indeed us going away. Struggle to see how we can successfully operate away coaches if away fans are allowed but we will see

The allocation of away fans is going to be a massive issue.

It is not going to be a problem with us taking 100 or so to Boreham Wood, but if Notts County stay down and we play them at home on the first day of the season, they will want 1200 tickets and not just the 760 that we would normally give them.

As much as I love traveling the country following Solihull Moors, I would not object to the first four or six matches being limited to Season Ticket Holders of the home team only.

I've only recently overcome my problems with coach travel to go to a few away matches but all of a sudden I really couldn't give a damn about away matches.

All games above a certain level all-ticket for the foreseeable future, I'd have to assume. Going to (further) hurt those clubs reliant on a few spontaneous walk-up spectators on matchday.
