Sad news about macclesfield. Has been on the cards for ages though. Some football owners are a disgrace and should be jailed for running these clubs into the ground.

Southend could be next.

Oh and good to see sky sports focusing on gareth !@#$ bale instead of this.

Sums it all up

Does anyone get the feeling that the football league imposed that extra points penalty on them to make sure they didn’t end up with another Bury situation?

I had heard that at the time that the EFL appealed against the original punishment it was so they did not have to deal with the mess they could see happening with Macclesfield.

The person I really feel sorry for is :-

Macclesfield Town legend Danny Whitaker has come out of retirement and re-signed for the club as a player.

The midfield man, 39, had retired earlier this year but he has now agreed a one-year deal with Tim Flowers’ side.

.....................

That was released at 10.45. am this morning, and then less than 35 minutes later the club was wound up in the High Court.

The shortest-ever football contract?

The league is meant to start on october the 3rd yet the government are planning another nationwide lockdown in October.

I can see another halt coming to football in this country and also Scotland and wales.

Don't start me on Wales...
FAW allow LoW to restart with fans, but prevent the likes of Merthyr and Wrexham - not to mention Cardiff and Swansea - from playing in front of crowds.

I appreciate safety is the first priority - but, come on.

Hiding behind the WAG in my opinion.

Essentially the leagues above us are playing and the leagues below is are plying ?? How is our League so different ???

1) The goverment have it all wrong banning safe attendence at football matches but allowing 1000s to protest or gatehr on Brighton beach, and
2) if fans are banned we have to still play- not playing wont help (unless the league are calling the goverments bluff??)
