Next 3 games OFF after a positive Covid test

Club Statement

What a mess, plenty more postponements across the league where these ones have come from.

Wishing the player in question a swift and thorough recovery.

Oh dear, here’s to a speedy recovery to the player.

Strange coincidence that the last two teams we’ve played both had games postponed for covid 🧐🧐😞

Just the four games on tomorrow's NL schedule postponed.

I do hope I'm wrong but I fear we're nearing the point where the lack of a league-wide testing infrastructure (prohibitively expensive, of course) makes the campaign borderline unviable.

Four games a week throughout April, anyone?

I find it incredibly frustrating that leagues 1 and 2 and national league games have to call a game off if a player tests positive.

Where as thee premier league and championship can carry on without distruption

The leagues need to come to an agreement with how to pay for regular testing.

Otherwise the season will not be completed.

On the "plus" side, it means Coxe won't miss anymore games while on U21 duty and Gudger should hopefully be much closer to a return to action by the time we next play. 👍🏻

Sorry mate, but I disagree. If there is a case of COVID within a team and the player has been in contact with others, ie a coach journey then games should be postponed. Let’s say we play tomorrow and someone from Halifax catches it off someone from Solihull Moors. This is how the virus spreads which is why even if grounds open up to a limited amount of supporters, away fans should not be allowed in.

Regarding your statement about leagues agreeing on how to pay for regular testing, the clubs in the league can’t agreement with the amount they have received from the National Lottery.

Not exactly a surprise given the current infection rates... This November is certainly going to feel even longer and grimmer than it usually does without any Moors matches to bring some relief from the darkness, shite weather and utter tedium of lockdown.
One thing’s also for certain, we are going to be incredibly rusty when we face Morecambe in the Cup on the 28th, if indeed that fixture survives.
Now where did I put those Xmas decorations..,?

Well unfortunately if we're not going to look into testing then we may aswell cancel the season.

It’s a bit of a !@#$ but the players safety is paramount I suppose!

Hopefully the next couple of week we can get Rooney back - and also it’s a couple of weeks closer to possibly having spectators return which I can see happening in January......you never know, the two homes games that have been postponed could well be 2 extra games we could see live!

I think it might be January also.

Its interesting to see that the premier league have got a tv deal in place up until the new year.

Fingers crossed.

Missing going to the football on a Saturday so much.
