Re: Dover

If a team resigns or folds part way through the season their results are expunged.

From what I know there is no rule set for when teams refuse to finish out the season. In “normal times”, a team may be charged with failure to fulfil a fixture and if they continue to do this then they may face expulsion from the league.

However, this is not normal times. If the vote comes in soon to void the north and south divisions, this would potentially mean no relegation. Dover could then complete the season by using non-contract players, ie those from levels below who will not be registered to a team as their season has voided, or Tonbridge, Margate, Ebbsfleet etc.

Aren't they refusing to travel etc as well though? Maidstone have announced they would complete the season with non-contract players if Step 2 isn't null and void, but my understanding was that Dover are refusing to operate at all.

Re: Dover

At the moment Dover have said that they have furloughed their players and management staff in an effort to reduce costings to a bare minimum. However, I am not sure what would happen if they had the opportunity to play out their matches without the threat of relegation.

Everyone should just start ignoring what this Government tell us and start turning up to games. They are going to kill clubs in what they are doing.

You'll never see a sold out football stadium in this this country ever again.

You're inviting everyone to get themselves fined £200 for breaking the law, not to mention the club being liable to a £10,000 fine should anyone turn up at the ground.

Guaranteed on the first weekend clubs are allowed fans in to their full capacity every game in the top three divisions will sell out.

No not at all. Was abit of a sarcastic comment about turning up to grounds but clubs are going to go under sooner or later. Something has to be done to stop this.

Clubs may fold even earlier if they have to pay fines for people turning up for matches when they are not allowed in 🤭
