Re: Shan in or out ?
Overall things are not going to change, we might win the odd game here and there, regarding relegation if we lose the 6 points should Dover and kings lynns point go then we are a lot closer to the bottom than you think

Re: Shan in or out ?
I’m usually one that thinks managers should be given time but in this case I think it’s time up for JS. Lets get somebody in now who can look at the squad and start preparing for next season (hopefully in this division🤦♂️).
Danny Cowley would top my list and I think the set up at Damson along with the chairman’s supportive nature would appeal to him as a project.
One point I would make, and have probably droned on about before, is that although results are down to the manager some of the players should take a hard look at some of their performs and decisions. The likes of Cameron, Gleeson, Ball have been as effect as an inflatable breadboard.
Don’t think I’ve ever been so disinterested in football and that includes the McDonald era, losing 9-0 at Tranmere on my birthday and losing 8 on the trot under Marcus!!

Re: Shan in or out ?
A few references have been made comparing our current malaise to the McDonald era , and for all the shortcomings of him as a manager and the below-par signings he brought in at this level and all the desperately poor results , I can honestly say that even with the embarrassment and pain it caused me at the time, my patience with Moors was never worn as thin as it is right now.
It all comes down to expectations...with the appointment of Shan and the purchase of much vaunted ex-league signings such as Adam Rooney, plus all the hype associated with it, they were as high as they’ve ever been, perhaps unrealistically so. But the brutal reality is that, even given the disjointed season we’ve experienced, both he, his tactical ability and the majority of the squad’s performances have been found seriously wanting. This season we appear to be heading for mid-table obscurity ... but if we want to be serious play off contenders rather than relegation candidates next year, we need to get ourselves ahead of the game now by appointing a new manager.

Re: Shan in or out ?
It’s strange about the disinterest in the moors, I feel exactly the same, we’ve had some really exciting matches down the moors over the years and full houses in the cup games plus great nights and have always had sides that could score goals, as I’ve said before this team must be the most boring side assembled along with the lack of creativity and style of play/formation despite probably having the biggest budget, it’s getting to the point now where I’m thinking about not even watching the stream.

Re: Shan in or out ?
It’s not just the Moors to be fair, bored of football generally. There’s too much on tv imo, no crowds mean no atmosphere, VAR arguments are getting boring and don’t get me started on the racism/homophobia that stills goes on.

Re: Shan in or out ?
It's worth also noting that McDonald had low expectations at the start of his first full season and an even lower budget. Arguably he used it badly by bringing in a load of his favourites from Step 3 and releasing lots of the players who had kept us up in 2016/17, but that squad also included Dapo, Carline, etc. Good things did come out of the McDonald era. I'm struggling to think of a real definite positive to come out of Shan's time in charge.

Re: Shan in or out ?
It's all ifs-and-buts, but I wonder if the manager might have been replaced by now if there were disgruntled fans in the stadium and crowds were getting thinner each match. There would certainly have been a chorus of boos at full time after last night's abject showing.

What positives came out of the McDonald era then? I cant think of any. He was a complete disaster. Yes you could say he kept us up but My opinion is that if Marcus had of stayed that season then we would of been nowhere near the relegation zone. As I've said before if you lose a game 9-0 you should be sacked immediately after the game. I even said the same about the Southampton manager both last season and this season.

Carter joined the club during McDonald's stint, if my memory is correct. That certainly provided some benefits both on and off the field. Of course, his appointment might have been nothing to do with McDonald.
