Re: Tough on Redditch
Kettering missed 2 pens. 125th min goal must've been hard to take - shame

Re: Tough on Redditch
I went but left after 90 minutes, because I had an early tee time at the golf club today.Enjoyed the atmosphere the football was a bit frantic , high long balls ,typical FA Cup match. The small amount of good football played, came from Redditch, Byrne,Bridgewater & Hay were noticeably impressive when on the ball.Kettering were very disapointing thier No 28 missed one of the worst taken penalties I have seen.He managed to scoop it 4 ft over the bar without any power, who knows what he was trying to do,he also missed 2 other good chances.Redditch were unlucky not to score the winner in the 89th minute after Kettering managed to keep the ball out, after a friezied goal mouth scramble. The attendance was 1101 and the 1 was not the strange man in a yellow jacket, doing a bit of moonlighting for our rivals. He usually sells raffle tickets at the Moors.

Re: Tough on Redditch
Keith, the same player went on to miss a second penalty in the second half of injury time. Don't know if it was saved but certainly hit the goal frame, going by the sound of it.
Got to feel sorry for Redditch. After conceding a goal in the 97th minute on Saturday to then lose to a goal in the 124th minute must be heratbreaking. I said last night to a few people, that it must have felt even worse than losing on penalties.

Re: Tough on Redditch
If we hadn't have been knocked out then it could be Hartlepool vs. Moors, which would have been perfect for me
I'll just have to go to Hartlepool vs. Kettering instead.

Re: Tough on Redditch
I should not bother with that match if I was you.Kettering are not very good on the eye for full time players. Their 16 stone overweight goalkeeper kicks it that high, you have to wait minutes for it to come back into the atmosphere.Their great new signing squad no 28 missed 2 penalties and other easy chances.Maybe better to go to a Unibond Div.1 North match its cheaper and sometimes better football.I have been to watch Halesowen Town 4 vs Cirencester Town 0 tonight in a Zamaretto league cup match, enteraining game, good football by both sides.Could have been more of a contest if the visitors had not been reduced to 10 men for the last hour. Nice to see Spanner again. Halesowen have assembled a good team this season,a nice mix of youth and experience.

Re: Tough on Redditch
This weekend - Whitley Bay v Tow Law Town
Next weekend - Hartlepool v Kettering
Weekend after - Farsley v Moors & Hyde v Northwich
Closest Unibond 1 North club to me is Harrogate Railway. Northern League all the way; all but two of the clubs are an easy bus or train trip away!
