A Positive January

Saturday 9 Jan Ilkeston A
Saturday 16 Jan Hyde United H - Must win
Tuesday 19 Jan Alfreton Town H - Point not impossible
Saturday 23 Jan Corby Town A
Saturday 30 Jan Farsley Celtic H - Possible point/win?

There are points to be had here. 4-6 would satisfy me.

Let's be positive and get behind the team, and hopefully our luck will change for 2010. Lets shift some of the doom and gloom away and hope that Bob's traditional second half of the season boom can be achieved again.

1 point so far towards our target.

Corby away is one we shoudln't expect much from but Farslet home I think we ought to look to win.

Joel & RoJ...Its so hard to be positive after watching probably the worst game of football I have seen this season, you are both lucky you missed it.

Neither side managed to string two pass's together, just long usually sliced balls into none existant channels,it was painful to watch.

The only positive thing, was when Price came on,he fed a great ball through to McPike who then managed to slice it wide by 20 yards. He also made the last minute goal with a Rory Delap type throw in,why is it we rarely utilize this skill.

And in the words of Mr Solimoors,WHY OH WHY was Dempster sat on the bench, the only striker that can score goals at this club.

Yes its hard to be positvive after watching that match, but heres looking to go to Corby & try to play some decent football, well we can hope at least.

Oh dear Keith, glad I missed that. I am going to have a go at Corby on Saturday I expect but its more because I haven't been to that ground before than an expectation of any decent football. Not very positive really.

roj - if they still play at the athlectics stadium with the running track round the pitch it is one of the most soul-less and atmosphere less place i've ever been to - and i'm in the southern league now emoticon

Corby's was the worst basketball court I ever visited too, but the whole deep fried black pudding was something to remember. So this could be a totally drab fixture, looking on the negative side.

agree a complete and utter soulless experience similar to other running tracks, if they are still there, I keep hearing about a new stadium . (alah Evesham) but this place is like Grantham, but is actually worse as there is absolutely NO terracing, you cannot stand anywhere really,ie behind the goals, the local jocks stand at the back of the main stand and beware taking their spots...

Its the diet of deep fried black puddings that will have given them the spots so they are welcome to them.
