With any luck, and if quick enough, I can move to the EU where warmth is less problematic. I'm thinking maybe a Baltic State where society itself will be warmer.
Or Scotland if Nicola can get that referendum sorted out and won.
I know I'm expectwd to bite, so will oblige...
Can I start the collection now? Understand Australia is lovely. Or New Zealand...?
And of course, you don't have to worry about any double or triple locks. That's mear loose change for the masses compared with the obscene gold-plated final salary scheme you have for contributing zip to UK plc. What do you mean - bitter?!
Turning to the major point of this thread, tricky one. I suspect a number of us felt the team over-achieved last season. Personally, staying up was a first rate result - one that even didn't go to the wire. Great credit for that.
I guess the concern now is second-season syndrome - especially with (what on the face of it at least) what looks like the "better" players departing.
I'm in the wait and see camp - lot can happen over the next few months. And - despite the fact of another season with Roj droning on and on - will probably be there when I can't get to Merthyr games.
Fingers crossed anyhow!

Re: Transfer rumours and news.....
Many a man hath asked me, "Why didst thou write verse?" Let me clarify the answer for posterity.
The passage of time and the comings and goings of men weigh heavy on our hearts.
Out, out, brief candle!
Life's but a walking shadow, a poor player
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage
And then is heard no more: it is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
Signifying nothing.
The summer time will be mother of wonderful admirable work, bread and ale firm all to the benefit of their servants.
Other not occurring I commit and commend your honours to the protection of yeast. May the gluten be with you all.

Re: Transfer rumours and news.....
Getting to see Merthyr more often could be facilitated by a move back into the Principality. Hope that helps you Martyr, and incidentally thanks for biting; although the reply was rather formulaic, obvious even. Bard of Bread needs to tutor you in the use of creative writing.

Quite right , Mr SoliMoors !...
E.g.
Some Labour voters now transferring to Tory is not relevant to this thread.

Re: Transfer rumours and news.....
I did try to revert to the topic earlier but there was housekeeping going on. Here is that post.
Regarding the team:
There is something strange in supporting a "non-league side" with the turn over of staff at the end of the season. We identify with a particular group of players and then they disappear to Brackley in May. It's all a bit disconcerting. Blues and villa have their established staff there, and try to improve upon it in the off season, and the retained list is always defined much earlier, or so it seems.
I agree with Martyr (checks pulse and other life signs to see if well) that we over-achieved this season, certainly in relation to our expectations this time last year. Are we considered a club that players would want to play for at this level, or are we a junior member of Level 5 football, probably about to be in a relegation fight? How wide is our catchment area in which to seek players?
Anyway, let us hope that a team is in the planning and that we can compete in both league and cup again next season as it was an enjoyable ride last year.
I can't even remember the names of most of our players so can't suggest potential signings.

The whole Ryan Beswick saga has been a right mess and the club ARE aware of it. It was hoped to do a special presentation at the Awards Night to recognise his services to the club. However, Bes was on holiday and could not attend the evening.
The club cannot turn back time and change the way the situation was handled. Lesson learnt and we move on.
All the best to Ryan and thank you for the memories. The last of the players to still be with the club from the pre-Marcus era. With the likes of Bes at Nuneaton, Knightsy at Tamworth, Notts at Salford and the number of former Solihull players at Brackley, I hope at least one of them can win the National North next season
They should still put an announcement out eg.
