That's the best I've seen them play in a long while. One thing I have noticed, over the last few home games, is that MY & TF seem to be setting the defensive line further up the field and not building a base camp on our own 18 yard box...a big thumbs up from me on that one! The defence seems settled - especially impressed with 12 inch at left back and Dales seemingly getting back to his best. I know Kells Bells had a couple of bomb scare moments, but on the whole has looked fairly solid. The biggest difference has been in the midfield. The return of the Wizard called Oz and the acquisition of Kyle Storer (nickname required) has added a bit of quality and steel and that has taken the onus off Carts. Up front, Jamma is terrorising full backs for fun and Dapo is looking interested again. We looked a world away from the team that was holding up the division five games back. Long may the current form continue! An aside from Saturday; the toilet gang - known for it's irreverent culinary jolly making - meandered onto discussing the joys of Teriyaki sauce, with The Bard waxing lyrical to it's sensual qualities. I will say, however, that I was left with an unwanted vivid image of Griff in a bath of the fragrant soy and sugar condiment...My appointment with Sigmund Freud is on Tuesday.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Alexs Dad)Mon, 22 Jan 2018 13:04:44 +0000 Re: Solihull Moors 3 Woking 0https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37257,from=rss#post37257https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37257,from=rss#post37257quote:StillRolling wrote: Just wish our keeper would to catch more instead of punching almost everything.... Not sure that's a fair criticism. Without his three saves that didn't involve catching the ball, it'd have finished 3-3. The one with his foot was particularly impressive. nondisclosed_email@example.com (M00R5)Sun, 21 Jan 2018 17:21:58 +0000 Re: Solihull Moors 3 Woking 0https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37254,from=rss#post37254https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37254,from=rss#post37254Thought us getting the first goal was very important as allowed us to play more of the break and play to our strengths. You could see Woking were low on confidence and without a few players but still had to get the three points on the board. Impressed by Storer already showing leadership, organising the team on set pieces and generally encouraging the team, especially the younger players. Could be just the guy we needed. Still a long way to go to overhaul the teams above us and stay up but at least we are in touch and making it interesting.nondisclosed_email@example.com (John B)Sun, 21 Jan 2018 12:22:34 +0000 Re: Solihull Moors 3 Woking 0https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37253,from=rss#post37253https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37253,from=rss#post37253Form guide HERE Last four games, 2nd Last six games, 6th Last eight games 5th Last ten games 11th That's progress in my book.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ojiveojive)Sun, 21 Jan 2018 11:58:16 +0000 Re: Solihull Moors 3 Woking 0https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37252,from=rss#post37252https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37252,from=rss#post37252Blimey still rolling...ok ok Woking weren't world beaters but we were good on the eye..I actually en joyed watching that. Everyone battled and did there jobs. Hope Jamie Reckord is ok thought he's been impressive since he came. But our midfield are getting more and confident each week. Also a word about the referee, probably the best we have had at the Autotech all season didn't take any s@#t and the players knew he was in charge.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Dickiesmint)Sat, 20 Jan 2018 19:07:07 +0000 Solihull Moors 3 Woking 0https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37235,from=rss#post37235https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p37235,from=rss#post37235What a performance, possibly the best home performance to date and although we rode our luck at times, in general, we bossed Woking of the park. The early goal settled any nerves and it could have been so different in the first minute when Woking hit the post after a ping pong in our area, for once the gods were with us and after a similar ping pong in their area, Kwame Thomas backheeled a beaut into the stranded keeper's bottom left hand corner. Several near misses followed throughout the first half but in the second half two peaches from Jermaine Hylton settled it, the first in off the post and the second a beautifully placed header in Baxter's top right corner from a fantastic Liam Daly cross. At the other end a superb save late on from O'Leary ensured the clean sheet. Super performance, super result, The Great Escape is on.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ojiveojive)Sat, 20 Jan 2018 18:51:21 +0000
