An excellent answer, Roj... 10/10. NB 14 day 'cooling off ' period , to shirt manufacturers , to have home kit redesigned. Supporters should have been consulted over design. Away kit is 9/10. Moor than 11 on back is quite quirky. nondisclosed_email@example.com (WeAreStayingUp)Tue, 24 Jul 2018 11:59:58 +0000 Re: New Kit?https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40330,from=rss#post40330https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40330,from=rss#post40330Not many wasps around throughout most of the season. nondisclosed_email@example.com (RoJ)Mon, 23 Jul 2018 22:00:43 +0000 Re: New Kit?https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40328,from=rss#post40328https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40328,from=rss#post40328I have given that a thought too. Say a big global brand like Man U sign a deal with Nike/ Adidas etc they would demand a big sum to get your brand on their shirt and therefore demand a larger if not total pre retail % per unit. Slide down the leagues and the sales are more important than the exposure for the manufacturer. Down at our level the amount of shirts sold will be well outnumbered by the kit used and give. To the club, literally hundreds if not thousands of kits to the club for all age/ gender categories, that I assume the club gets free. So I doubt Surrudge give us much if any money from pre retail sales.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Busi)Mon, 23 Jul 2018 20:56:05 +0000 Re: New Kit?https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40327,from=rss#post40327https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40327,from=rss#post40327quote:Worf99 wrote: Has anybody ordered through the Surridge site? Not this year but smaller sales and the fact that this board won't go totally unnoticed could help for next season. We have only had these colours for 4 years( Am I right?) Transitioning from a very uninspiring white and black, so it's a beginning of an identity at least, That said we have gone from yellow and blue to blue with yellow trim the last 3 seasons now. I'm sure I've bored on about it before but... I would like to see us in purple with yellow trim. A far more unique and striking identity. It's still early enough and it's something that could really set us apart. Those unsure should check out Pantone colour chart on google . My choice would be Pantone 273 (a blue hue of purple) trimmed with perhaps the top 20% and shoulders being yellow Pantone 395 the sponsor and numbers could be the same colour with striped socks and solid purple shorts too. Just my idea, feel free to bag it.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Busi)Sun, 22 Jul 2018 18:29:41 +0000 Re: New Kit?https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40320,from=rss#post40320https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40320,from=rss#post40320quote:swifty76 wrote: Home kit is vile and should be predominantly yellow. My only concern is that without a number on, the MOOR THAN ELEVEN will look a little lost in a replica shirt. The home shirt should be hoops or preferably stripes (I just think it’d look better). The away kit is the best we’ve probably ever had, very 2007 AC Milan, but I agree it’ll cause problems when we play Aldershot or Dagenham. Maybe a green (blue + yellow = green) away shirt would be the way to go in the future? But for some reason we chose to have white red and black on our badge so we’re kind of stuck. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Psycho Mouse)Sat, 21 Jul 2018 11:07:16 +0000 Re: New Kit?https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40304,from=rss#post40304https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40304,from=rss#post40304Individually, I do like the shirts, however . . . . . Home Shirt I do think we should have move yellow in the home kit. We have gone from being a blue and yellow team to a blue team with bits of yellow. When we had the hoops we were unique at this level of football and even at the junior levels. I would really like us to go back to hoops, or as Ojive says, quarters, halves or stripes. Away Shirt Nice kit, but looks like Brackley Town For me, an away kit should be for use when there is a clash of colours with the first choice strip. The red and black will still see a slight clash at Aldershot and another clash of colours at Dagenham. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Statto)Sat, 21 Jul 2018 09:13:51 +0000 Re: New Kit?https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40302,from=rss#post40302https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p40302,from=rss#post40302In all seriousness though, both kits are great and I cannot wait for next season!
