Re: England Vs Evesham?

As the scoreline suggests, he didn't have a lot to do. His positioning looked good but he didn't really have a shot to save, save for one 20 yard free kick which beat the wall, beat him and slammed into the crossbar.

What a looooooooooong strange trip it's been

So far so good then?
I have a lot of faith in the core of the squad we still have from the back end of last season. We could do with some more numbers. How is Boot looking?
We got a huge boost from two very good loan keepers in Baxter and OLeary so that will be key for me.
Some quality loan signings could be the difference this coming season. What are other Moors fans thoughts?

Boot looked ok but didn’t have much to do against Evesham. His kicking looked decent, bar a couple of errant clearances. The formation and core of the team looks like the latter half of last season. We could do with a left back (as Flowers has said) and maybe another centre half. Williams could fill in there if Daly or Gudger were unavailable, although that would leave us light at fullback now that Green has moved on. Midfield looks sorted with Storer, Osborne, Carter and Maxwell, plus Carline when required. Up front looks stacked with Wright, Hylton, Thomas and Yussuf. I’d love to see Hylton get more goals to reflect the effort he puts in. All-in-all, we look in good shape.

To be honest, I had difficulty keeping up with the substitutions in the second half, the heat must have been getting to me. Coyle took his goal well from the edge of the box. I don't recall any "stand out" performances from any of the subs, but by that time Moors were cruising and Evesham also made a lot of changes so looked disorganised towards the end.

Kicking myself for not entering the raffle, first prize was a joint of beef, second prize a leg of lamb emoticon
