Nice guitar.

I'll get some money your way when I get paid. Hopefully before 12/9!

I was scouring the background of the picture after I posted it to make sure there was nothing incriminating in the background emoticon . That pic is about 3 months old now and that space is taken up by my shiny new Ibanez electric and my hair is about 2-3 inches longer. Many thanks, no pressure.

I like Ibanez as a manufacturer. I think you tend to get a bit more bang for your buck out of them than with something like Yamaha, without breaking the bank for a top-range Fender or Gibson or something like that.

I've been getting back into it recently as a mate of mine has been suggesting putting together a covers band with his mate who drums. He doesn't have an electric though, so he's been using my battered old Squier Stratocaster that I bought for practically nothing from a bloke in Aston. I don't think I've even changed all the strings, the pickup selection bar is snapped at the end, the whammy bar is missing, and you have to be careful with the volume as the pot shaft for the knob is wobbly. Still does the job though.

Main problem is I only keep enough equipment to play either the guitar or my bass, rather than both at once. Ended up going and spending more money than I intended at PMT today, picking up a strap, a couple of leads, and getting patch wires and a daisy chain for the DC lead for my bass pedals so that we can actually play both together and it sound decent. I have a Boss ME-70 with a looping station that I bought a few years back for another band that didn't quite happen in the end, which my mate has been enjoying getting to grips with. Had to make sure I have some bass effects active to fiddle with as well.

I need to restring mine really, been doing a lot of drop tunings stuff so I need some heavier strings.

I don’t play as often as I should but it’s nice from time to time to crank the volume up and have a poor attempt at some SOAD.

I once met an Armenian professor who was not at all into American rock music, but was a big fan of SOAD just because of their Armenian heritage.

Apparently if her 13-year-old son refused to get out of bed, she'd play the opening of Chop Suey at full blast next to him, the bit where Serj Tankian is screaming "Wake up!".

Tandy I will donate when the pension payment arrives next Monday. Well done. I am thinking of shaving the beard off but really it would make a very nasty wig but perhaps an improvement for Martyr’s hairstyle.
