Anyway, despite their physical presence, they seemed an incredibly fragile bunch, dropping like flies throughout the game. The keeper took the biscuit with his theatrics after his very non-descript coming together with Danny Wright - how can a professional sportsman look themselves in the eye after that sort of WWE-esque performance!? Anyway, despite Woods' tactics, I thought we looked a bit lacklustre in attack today. The service to the front men wasn't great, feeding off scraps and chasing down over-hit long balls. Danny Wright showed some good touches but Adi Yusuf looked ineffective, and although I like Kwame, he's not looked on top of his game in his recent appearances. We certainly missed Hylton's ability to terrify opposition defenders. It's clear that Moors' home record is being noticed by the rest of the league and teams are coming here thinking that taking a point home is a positive result. Ditto... It was also sad to see Boreham Wood behaving like Leyton Orient ( falling / rolling around to the ground on good tackles from Moors ) - come on Referees , get an fcuking grip on this !.nondisclosed_email@example.com (WeAreStayingUp)Sun, 04 Nov 2018 08:53:23 +0000 Re: Solihull 0-0 Boreham Woodhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p42531,from=rss#post42531https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p42531,from=rss#post42531We were naff today. If he was auditioning for a Panto part tell him he's got it. But stay off football pitches. Falling / rolling all over the place when fairly tackled by Solihull Moors players !... Their goalkeeper performed a " Miracle " in the second half , when rolling around in agony , he suddenly got up , like a shot . Sure beats Moses in the " Miracle " Dept. !. To be fair , they had a couple of decent Centre Backs.nondisclosed_email@example.com (WeAreStayingUp)Sat, 03 Nov 2018 20:00:36 +0000 Re: Solihull 0-0 Boreham Woodhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p42515,from=rss#post42515https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p42515,from=rss#post42515Worst game of the season so far against Boring Wood who came for the draw and succeeded, too many balls in the air which suited their centre halves who headed and kicked everything. We definitely missed Hylton with his trickery and quick feet, lets hope he's not out for too long. Now onto Hitchin who lost in the league again to Tamworth, fingers crossed.nondisclosed_email@example.com (vinny09)Sat, 03 Nov 2018 19:00:58 +0000 Solihull 0-0 Boreham Woodhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p42510,from=rss#post42510https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p42510,from=rss#post42510Sorry, but Boredom Wood would (!) be a better description! And one that echoed around the Loadlock (or whatever its called). By echoed, I of course mean the Bard giving it a full 4-tonsils-worth! On Tuesday evening against Halifax I left the ground wondering how on earth Solihull hadn't won at a canter. Whilst the second half was more even, aside from a 5-or-so minute spell shortly into the game, the first half was dominated by the hosts. Perhaps the penalty miss set the scene...? Anyhow, the fact that I'm reminiscing on Tuesday probably says it all about todays game. Not one that will linger long in the memory. Indeed, I can hardly remember anything about it, aside from the sadistic referee putting us through a total of 9 minutes injury time (albeit 4 in the first half) Boreham came for a draw, and were successful in their game plan. Solihull huffed and puffed, however too many aimless long balls in my opinion - against a team o well-drilled defensive giants, with 10 behind the ball. Play it on the deck - please! When Gurds plumbing and a dodgy ballcock, sorry - inlet valve, is the highlight of the afternoon, that pretty much says it all. Indeed, for once, I wished I'd stayed home and watched the Rugby (Wales that is!). As they say, a one-eyed stump of a game! nondisclosed_email@example.com (Solihull Martyr)Sat, 03 Nov 2018 18:25:28 +0000
