sheldon retail
might interest any sheldonites we have on here.
http://www.sheldonretail.co.uk/
proposed and i did hear approved plans for a supermarket, retail park, and redevelopment of the whole area.
they would knock down from the old seven trent building all the way to cartidge world and develop that land.
looks quite impressive actually, and would help regenerate an area that desperatly needs it, the wheatshef looks crap.

Re: sheldon retail
Absolutlely. Go regeneration - at least the residents of Sheldon won't be forming a petition if they get an Aldi like those in the posh part of Edgbaston.

Re: sheldon retail
I'm what's known as a friend of UHB Foundation Trust and the other day I read in an official report on the financing of the new QE that we will be paying 50 MILLION POUNDS per year in rent , for the next thirty-five years, in order to pay for the PFI funded new QE hospital. That's 1750 MILLION POUNDS over thirty-five years, more than two and a half times what it cost to build, and I suspect that the actual cost will rise as this is not a fixed cost but a variable cost depending on outside forces such as inflation and market forces.
--- What a looooooooooong strange trip it's been
