Yes indeed, but the upside is that once the jobs have been cut we can all do them in a voluntary capacity.

But of course you will need to be CRB checked (up to two months wait, longer for an enhanced one, by which time you'll be thinking oh what the !@#$, I can't be bothered) and ISA registered (another wait). Most of my volunteers will leave when the rules come into effect later this year - not because they have anything to hide, but because they can't be arsed to go through the rigmarole of registering emoticon

Not just jobs. Constituencies.

Cameron plans to reduce the number of MPs in Parliament by taking away all those pesky Labour safe seats in the North and Scotland.

I could volunteer to do CRB checks. I will need one next year to look at the student's art, even though I am not allowed to meet the candidates. This year is my last chance to run amuck without the check.
