Re: Chesterfield 0-4 Solihull Moors
Sounded like a great performance. 4th in the league 6 points off top getting scary now. Think we will get a draw against wrexham on saturday. Hopefully chesterfield dont come back looking for revenge on tuesday tho. On another thing not connected to solihull moors. Well done to omar bogle yesterday an absolute sensational strike.

Re: Chesterfield 0-4 Solihull Moors
Looks like the supporters demo had a bit of an effect, Ashley Carson has resigned

Possibly the worst side we've come across at this level?
North Ferriby
They were much, much worse than Ferriby, at least Ferriby tried.
Chesterfield gave up after we scored yesterday. Their centre half was taken off after 8 minutes in tears not because he was injured, because he kicked the ball out of play 3 times and let the ball bounce over him for the first goal.
I’ve never seen us carve through a team like we did yesterday in a long time, certainly not at this level. Every time we went forward we had a shot on goal.
The way Jamey Osborne skinned that player whilst sitting on his arse summed Chesterfield up for me.

Maybe had they not tied up 3 or more of their stewards trying to prevent our players celebrating the third in front of us, they might have had the numbers to prevent more of those idiots from entering the pitch.
I think they were more concerned with us entering the pitch than stopping the players' celebrations. The incursion was probably the most polite pitch 'invasion' I've ever seen, not running about like headless chickens but just walking towards the directors' boxes and dugouts demanding resignations!

Re: Chesterfield 0-4 Solihull Moors
The defender who was taken off had been out injured for a long time Allen just realised he wasn't ready to play against our forwards after his sloppy early play.
I don't think they gave up. They have some nippy quick forwards and certainly weren't the worst team they're just in turmoil with a brilliant side against them.
Anyway I'm sad cus the managers been sacked this morning and that's our fault...LOL..BUT
...they're likely be a different proposition in the NY game.

I think they were concerned about that, but for me it's not the role of the stewards to enter the field of play and push players on the pretext of keeping fans in line.
It was definitely more orderly than the last pitch invasion I saw from an away end, at West Ham. Still a fair few tossers out there though. The bloke who just plonked himself on the centre spot for an age springs to mind.
On the discussion about how bad Chesterfield really were, I'd agree that they put up a bit of resistance first half. Like I said, they played some decent passing stuff for a while. Beyond that they were extremely limited. Hospital passes at the back and in midfield, total disorganisation (and disintegration) defending set pieces, and for much of the second half we really did look like we could score at will. So many Moors chances went being at 2, 3 & 4-0.
Plus Jamey had one of those games where you could see from the things he was pulling off that he was up against far inferior players, at least defensively speaking. Skinning players on the floor, pinching the ball from between the legs of players going in for slide tackles, pressing their defence into mistakes... I saw on the Chesterfield forum one of their hands bemoaning is just being bigger than then rather than better. It's true we can play direct and press hard all over the pitch, but we were just so much better than them all round yesterday without really having to go through the gears. Less than a minute into the game it was clear that Chesterfield were a liability defensively. I honestly think we would have beaten them even at the nadir of Liam McDonald's reign.

Re: Chesterfield 0-4 Solihull Moors
We’ve played worse teams than that Braintree ,
For example, don’t think New Year’s Day
will be easy, they will have someone else
in charge and will park the bus like all
teams that have come to us in the last few games
