Blues entering at the third round means Cov have an uphill struggle to make that tie happen. Don't see why it would be a big deal. They would be the home team, after all. They'd just be using St Andrews as their home venue. Probably would work in Blues' favour as the players would want to perform in what would feel a lot like a home game.nondisclosed_email@example.com (M00R5)Tue, 28 May 2019 17:55:57 +0000 Re: Coventry Cityhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p46588,from=rss#post46588https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p46588,from=rss#post46588Yes, Blues were the away side for an FA Cup tie against Stevenage Borough at St Andrew's in the late 90s. If I remember correctly Stevenage were given the whole of the Main Stand. This was before the completion of the new Railway End. Blues also allowed the Stevenage announcer to do the pre-match, half-time announcements etc and the Blues programme notes were written by their chairman/owner and manager. Blues did their best to make the game a special occasion.    nondisclosed_email@example.com (Tim BCFC)Tue, 28 May 2019 15:09:26 +0000 Re: Coventry Cityhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p46568,from=rss#post46568https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p46568,from=rss#post46568quote:Statto wrote: How do you know that Coventry wont actually turn the away end in a home end at their matches? What is the difference being us been drawn away to either City or Coventry City at St Andrews? We would be in the away end no matter who the home team were. Blues have been the away team before in a FA Cup match against Stevenage Borough around 1997 (ish) I think. Tim might remember what the ground arrangements were that day? Yes 1997 98 I think it was. The difference moors being drawn against either brum or cov at st ands is that if it was brum I would be in the home end any way. Whereas if it was cov then I would have to go into the away end. nondisclosed_email@example.com (Smfc fildes)Sun, 26 May 2019 21:21:59 +0000 Re: Coventry Cityhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p46567,from=rss#post46567https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p46567,from=rss#post46567How do you know that Coventry wont actually turn the away end in a home end at their matches? Be intersting to see us, and I mean both Blues and Moors, against Cov in the cup perhaps. Its a disgrace. I like cov. As I used to be based in cov at work. But the reason I'm saying its a disgrace is because say if blues drew against cov in the EFL or fa cup away from home. That would mean blues players and staff would have to use the away dressing room and the supporters would have to be in the away end stewarded by Coventry city stewards. Again if moors were to draw cov away in the fa cup then that would mean playing at st Andrews with supporters in the away end which would mean I would not go as I cannot for the life of me do that at my own club I love and support. Regarding the pitch it would be a complete and utter mess IMO. Playing up to 4 games a week on it. I hope whatever dickhead who is running ccfc sorts the Ricoh situation out asap. My understanding was that clubs must play within the conurbation of the area that bears their name, but I wonder if they are just able to play within the boundaries of the County FA. Coventry City FC are affiliated to the Birmingham County FA, which may give them a bit more flexibility in finding a temporary home, ie St Andrews maybe.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Statto)Tue, 26 Feb 2019 20:48:23 +0000 Re: Coventry Cityhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p45058,from=rss#post45058https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p45058,from=rss#post45058quote:Bigdavey wrote: In the same interview they clarified that Coventry need to be playing within 6 miles of the centre of Coventry so with the fan base they have only really leaves the Ricoh This is Tim Fisher who has made up a lot of things in the past that aren't true. IF, the EFL members thought vote them out, and I mean IF. I would be far more likely they appeared as our tenants at ATG/Damson Parkway than any other realistic outcome. Very cynical, but SISU (with their billions in private wealth) have refused rent on their 'home' until evicted, homed with Northampton and then played silly beggars about the price (they were offered) for the stadium and still refuse. These shifty boys will be sniffing around us if and when we have a stadium that is EFL ready and they, likely, wont pay a penny.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Busi)Sun, 24 Feb 2019 00:23:42 +0000 Re: Coventry Cityhttps://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p45003,from=rss#post45003https://bsolihullmoors.runboard.com/p45003,from=rss#post45003quote:MoseleyMoor wrote: In a tricky spot & threatened to be kicked out of the football league.
