National League 2019 / 20 - Latest Betting Odds

Solihull Moors currently 16/1 (Joint 6th favourite - same as Torquay United ).

Notts County , current favourites at 8/1.

One of the more popular bets, ( according to betting sites ), at present, is for Torquay to be crowned as Champions.

Re: National League 2019 / 20 - Latest Betting Odds

I think the odds are skewed by clubs with more supporters or a bigger name attracting more punters who put money on for that reason rather than looking at the stats or form.

People in the know would surely have us higher up the order for next season, but I guess we'll wait and see. At that price I'm definitely tempted to stick a tenner on. We're way better than 16/1.

I met the Brentford owner the other day - the guy who made his dollar from professional betting syndicates and has a company that crunches all the stats to beat the odds. Regret now not asking him what he thought our chances were. Or indeed to get on the blower to Tim Flowers about loaning any promising youngsters they have.

If I was a betting man, and i am not because the bookies have all my money already, would be Chesterfield ( 10/1 ) and Torquay United ( 16/1 ).

Haven't Chesterfield cut their budget?

I feel that should I bet on Moors, tempting though those odds are, it would foul up their chances. I did have quarms about doing exactly that on villa both against Baggies and the Rams, and now regret leaving my money in my pocket.

Where are all these short prices coming from for Torquay? They’ll have to go some way to go straight through this division, has a team ever done that, I can only think of Fleetwood but I’m sure they spent two seasons in the conf prem?

Do Torquay have a new backer or something?

They have a very experienced man in Gary Johnson that might be it. Plus continued success etc. after just coming up.
There signing this week of Manny Duku, who played well for Halifax against us at the end off last season does help.

Yes 16-1 to win the league, but also 8-1 to get promoted, as per :-

Salford City last season.

As Mr S says, they have a very experienced manager in charge and are on a roll.

Just checked latest odds , for National League Champions 2019 /20.

Moors are 50 /1 to go up as Champions ( joint 17th !!! ) , although around 9/1 to get promoted ( joint 6th ).

I see Chesterfield are making a fair few League player signings.
