Will undoubtedly have been stupid imature kids. They hide in packs and are amused by anything rude, edgy or insulting that their tiny brains can dream up.
Difficult but we have to try and ignore these cabbages. They might grow up one day and might just develope into decent human beings and fans one day if they are lucky.

I appreciate the sentiment, Boris, but it's very easy for someone unaffected to say it should just be ignored. It would've been very easy for myself and others to say nothing.
Unfortunately, it wasn't just kids on Tuesday. It was a few people I thought were better than that, and at least one old bloke.

Stat.... think you are misunderstanding if you think that i was offering any semblance of an excuse.
I would favour hoofing them out or the police stepping in. Unfortunatly we are limited to what those in charge are prepared to do or the hope that people with limited comprehension will take on board an arguement that their behaviour is not acceptable.

I've always found homophobia at football matches to be somewhat odd. We spend ninety minutes in a male dominated environment, dressed resplendently, singing songs of reverence about the players before us and then linking limbs with all and sundry when the ball hits the net.

Completely agree with the points about there being no place for homophobic chanting at football matches.
Unfortunately, I think MOOR5 somewhat undermined the points he was making by referring to a Kelty Hearts fan as a "ginger prick" over on the Kelty match thread. I'd be interested to hear how it is any more acceptable to call an opposition fan a "ginger prick" than, for instance, a "queer prick" or perhaps "black prick"? A "prick" is a "prick", regardless of their hair colour, skin colour or sexual orientation.
This struck a chord with me because I have ginger hair (albeit shaved short due to a receding hairline... a "bald ginger prick" - a real double-whammy there!) My 5-year-old son, who I occasionally bring along to matches, also has this hair colour. Should I explain to him that it's not ok for him to shout abuse about other people's skin colour or sexual orientation, but he should be expected to tolerate abuse about his hair colour, a feature of his identity that he was born with and has no control over?
Sadly, subconscious discrimination seems to be baked into the fabric of society. I'm not an overly religious person but to paraphrase a passage from the Bible, "let he who is without sin cast the first stone".

I couldn't believe what I was hearing yesterday I'm no grass but 1 individual I was standing next to shouted towards the ref on 2 occasions your only pulling him up because he is black.
Wtf man
On the 3rd occasion the guy said to me he is clearly doing it cuz he's black after I told him to not be saying stuff like that.
Honestly people need to keep their mouths shut.
