Re: Flowers "gone"
We went down the route of appointing a young, relatively inexperienced manager before and it almost ended in disaster. Sure, young managers have to start somewhere, but not out of their depth at the top level. I can only surmise that if the board want to progress to the EFL, they will have a replacement in mind, someone with more management experience at our level or above .

Re: Flowers "gone"
I, like many, have been critical over the standard of football played recently.
However, what ever happened to a bit of loyalty in football? I appreciate the chairman has invested a fair bit of money but Tim’s record isn’t bad (2nd, currently 9th, FA Cup 2nd round twice and played a big part in the Great Escape). All this nonsense about ‘its driving crowds away’, he was the one who got the crowds up in the first place!!! This is a true reflection on how the club is being run at the moment, sometimes I wish we were back at Ewan Fields on a cold Tuesday night lol. I will fully back the new manager but I think Tim has been hard done by.
Won’t be there tonight so good luck to the lads.....

Re: Flowers "gone"
Let's not forget he hasn't been sacked, it was a mutual decision, he wanted to go too.
He obviously believes he has taken the club as far as he can and I'd be inclined to agree.
Edit: Not that I hold anything against him, he properly worked a miracle here last year and nearly achieved the impossible.

This is a very pertinent point. Given that he signed a 3-year deal in the summer, presumably a "mutual parting" means that the club isn't bound to pay up the remaining 2.5 years of his contract and would have agreed on some form of "golden handshake"?
Will be interesting to see if any of the remaining coaching staff are kept on after the new manager is in place, as I seem to recall they all got 3-year deals in the summer.

Obviously that is probable, that a discussion took place, and an agreement reached, mutually.
The agreement could have been anything, such as payment up to the end of the season, but garden leave until then. Or whatever.

I don't believe it was a mutual decision, but more as Jline says there was an agreement reached which was mutually agreed.

Re: Flowers "gone"
Not convinced it was mutual.
Since when had he lost the dressing room? Spoke to a few of the players after B’Wood and they all seemed positive we’d turn it round.

Re: Flowers "gone"
I think when people say lost the dressing room, what they really mean is that he fell out with a couple of players the infallible Liam Daly included.
