Re: Phillip Schofield
Leon Knight apparently cares a lot.
I'm sure Philip is gutted about not being accepted by a washed-up former MK Dons player.
Ojive, in an ideal world, nobody would have to give a !@#$. Given men of Schofield's generation still feel the need to remain in the closet or live in secrecy, and given also that sexuality is something that can be fluid over time, or take people years to come to terms with or even simply to understand, I think it's a massive deal for him to do what he's done. Given the reaction of the likes of Leon Knight and other homophobes who may or may not have scored goals in League One, who will find any excuse to criticise or attack Philip Schofield for his life and career so far as a result of him coming out -- who clearly do give massive !@#$ -- I think it's important. Given the reaction of his own colleague, the ever-odious Eamonn Holmes -- ironically a man who looks like someone has grossly inflated Dale Winton -- I think it's worth giving a !@#$.
By all means, I'm not a fan of his and I don't ever watch his shows, but I can only give him my unconditional support for having had the bravery to come out as a man of his age with such a public profile. Kudos to him, and all the best for the journey he's setting out on towards the rest of his life.

Re: Phillip Schofield
I did think eamon joke about the hot tub and holly was a bit mis timed but I think Phillip saw the lighter side of it
There will always be people with nasty opinions but I’m sure for every bad opinion or troll he will have 100 nice opinions.

Re: Phillip Schofield
Whilst I respect the guy for telling everyone I do also feel abit sorry for his wife. 27 years he has been married and he suddenly comes out with that.
She is probably absolutley gutted

Re: Phillip Schofield
I doesn't change the fact that he loved her and was obviously attracted to her. She's evidently behind him. It's not really for anyone else to get offended or upset on her behalf.

It was tin-eared and creepy. But for me the most unhelpful thing he said was the bit about "oh, I hoped your big announcement was that I was getting your job".
Basically he came off like he was trying to make it about him because he was uncomfortable.

Just after 27 years you suddenly tell your wife that you are gay.
Fair play to the guy tho. I listened to his interview yesterday and he sounded very very scared. Incredibly brave.

I think he probably told her a long time before he told the whole country, Fildes.
