Public Exhibition of the planning proposals for the Moorlands
There is a public exhibition of the planning proposals for the Moorlands at the Fircone Centre, 1237 Stratford Rd (opposite the Baptist Church). Friday 16th July between 4 and 8 pm.
It is held by David Wilson Homes who describe the development as a new high quality residential scheme which will also include a new attractive area of open space and a 'community house'.

Re: Public Exhibition of the planning proposals for the Moorlands
If this development goes ahead then I will feel that the developers have won over the spirit of the law against building on sports fields. I understand there will be a public space but it wont be a sports ground will it? It also looks as if the building work will be on much more than 15% of the site which is supposed to be the maximum allowable on a playing field per planning legislation.
The 1 and only Moorsnut!

Re: Public Exhibition of the planning proposals for the Moorlands
Speaking to someone who lives on Sherwood Road, he feels that it will be years before work starts on this due to all the objections that will be raised by local residents. Also, its hard enough at the moment to get cars down Sherwood Road due to the high volume of parked cars down there. God knows how the trucks are going to get down there.
I wonder if Rolling Stone is able to shed any light on the thoughts of the other residents ?
