Re: Season Ticket 2020/21

Parking is going to be something the club will have to find a solution for in the long run. There are already residents of the nearby estates having meltdowns whenever there's a big game on.

On the subject of people staying in the bar pre-/post-match, and thinking of big games, another ST perk the club might consider introducing is a specific "Members' bar" for big games. Open it up only to people who are ST holders or who pay something like twenty quid for access at the beginning of the season, with the proceeds going to the Moors Foundation. That will save a lot of the hassle and frustration for regulars whenever there is a large attendance of not being able to enjoy the facilities as they usually would.

Only paid £100 last season for an allocated parking space right by the turnstiles

The parking does seem rather steep, but we can’t have it all what with the season ticket renewal price.

I think I’ll stick to parking in the surrounding estates!

I can see the council introducing residents only permits for the neighbouring streets. I kind of feel sorry for the locals but they can’t stop people parking on public roads and then cones that get put up annoy me slightly.

Maybe they could eventually rent a bit of the new Land Rover areas that are currently being built? From what I remember it’s going to be a “fulfilment centre” so not much there apart from tarmac space, but I’m happy to be corrected on that.

Time for the council to support the local teams and let us build on the running track at Tudor Grange Park. 😉

While the renewal price for season tickets is very good don’t forget the money we lost on this season should be taken into account.

Yes, you could argue that but let’s be honest, we had 4/5 home games left on our ST?

I’m really not arsed about that if the club are going to produce such a good offer on next seasons prices.

All I’m pointing out is that if you take off the £40-£50 loss this season from what you save next season then the 100% increase on this seasons parking space means the deal for the two is not as good as it looks. The season ticket on its own is probably the best deal.

Oh without doubt the ST on its own is the best. Maybe the club will do something on the parking for existing ST holders? £240 to park is horrendously steep I suppose.

I know car parking spaces are at a premium but if a car parking season ticket is £200 then that’s taking the piss imo

Re: Season Ticket 2020/21

I tend to park far enough away that (a) I don't feel I'm being an encumbrance on that road's residents, and (b) that getting away afterwards is not a scrum. This often means parking way down e g. Rowood Drive, but a 10-15 min walk can do a world of good, especially if what you've just witnessed has so vexed you that you'd be a danger behind the wheel without first cooling down a touch...

I appreciate that for some with limited mobility the above may not be viable, but then it's precisely those folk the car park ought to be for.

Roll on the time when any of this is actually relevant!
