Enough is enough.
Clubs are going to go to the wall sooner or later. Russian roulette territory.
Seen several tweets that the national league may not start on time because the government are hesitant to let crowds back and clubs cannot financially play without a crowd.
The fa trophy final has been postponed. It's a 90,000 seater stadium. If they can't find a way for people to socially distance at Wembley then what chance has a club like moors have.

As I said russian roulette territory.

Re: Enough is enough.
Share your frustrations Fildes.
Very difficult situation.
Clubs at our level with full time players and without massive fanbase are probably more at risk than most.
However you can see the risk of transmission to other fans, players and stewards in busy stadiums with everybody screaming and shouting.
Hopefully a later start to the season will be of some benefit and the good uptake of season tickets together with our experienced team at the top will stand us in good stead.
Think we do need an element of common sense and individual responsibility to balance the caution.
I am hoping that fans will be allowed to return. If well spaced, masked and sanitised and perhaps further back from the pitch, then that will limit risk.
We need to have some form of access otherwise sponsors will soon get bored of paying without any benefit.

Re: Enough is enough.
Well Macclesfield have just been wound up by the look of it but I think their debts of £500K plus were well before Covid but i'm sure it hasn't helped them.

Maccclesfield Town have been poorly run for years. They were struggling to pay wages when they loaned us Courtney Richards in 2017 and then still went to get a higher wage strike in January 2018 to reach the Football League.
Football clubs can not keep going to the high court and hope to get cases adjourned without submitting any business plan.

Re: Enough is enough.
As an occasional fan I'm very sorry to hear this.
Meanwhile there are other clubs in the area which right now could use your support.
Highgate, Knowle and Hampton come to mind.
A bit further away is Coleshill.
I watched Fairfield play host to Hampton last Saturday. Hampton won 2 - 0.
Good to watch.
On Saturday Highgate host Wellington in the FA Vase. Knowle host Fairfield in the Midland Football League.

Re: Enough is enough.
The demise of Macclesfield means no matches for Moors :-
Monday 28th December
Saturday 10th April
Old Moore, you make a very good point. Many clubs are struggling. We shall try to make it to Highgate United on Saturday. Thanks for that info..

Re: Enough is enough.
Does anyone get the feeling that the football league imposed that extra points penalty on them to make sure they didn’t end up with another Bury situation?
