Re: Investment made by Darryl Eales
Darryl isn’t listed as one of the shareholders but certainly is a director of Wigan Rugby Club and the immediate holding company.

Re: Investment made by Darryl Eales
Successful businessman invests in successful business in order to grow his portfolio, given owning sports clubs is a mug's game.
It makes the pages of a right-wing tabloid because the business happens to be founded by the parents of a posh St Andrews graduate of the poshest and most pointless academic degree possible, who happened to meet an effective crown prince as part of her upper-class rite-of-passage and later enroyal herself. Otherwise, there's no story. High bank balance man invests in high value company.
Darryl Eales. There's a real example of someone from a relatively humble background who has done well out of being good at what he does. The headline may as well be: 'Posh twits require investment from talented successful businessman'. As opposed to the centuries-old aristocratic trust funds and independent school networking that originally supported the foundation of the Middleton business, of course. Probably that's what makes it such a good investment for him: the Middletons don't have to play by the same rules as the likes of Eales, so there'll always be money in it.

Re: Investment made by Darryl Eales
Ian Lenagan is the owner of the warriors and they only have 3 other directors. Kris Radlinski, (a hell of a player in his day),
and Chris Brookes are exec directors and Winston Higham is non exec.
Lenagan also has a stake in London Bronco's.
I do not know if Darryl is involved in any way or not, but he certainly has not been in the boardroom either of the 2 seasons before this when KR played there. He certainly is NOT a director.

Sorry to disagree but Darryl is listed as a director of Wigan Rugby League Club Ltd (appointed 21/9/2020) according to Companies House. Messers Radlinski, Brookes, Moore, Higham and Lenagan are the other directors. He is also listed as a director of the holding company - Lenagan Investments Ltd (once again appointed 21/9/2020).
Not that it particularly affects his involvement with the Moors....

Hopefully he sticks to the "local football clubs owned by local people" mantra he's mentioned in past interviews.
