Re: Ross Dempster

Or is it that at Blackpool the team is set up around DJ Campbell so he gets more chances? Same with Ross at Alvechurch. In a weaker team where he's the focal point of the attack, he will get goals. That doesn't mean he'll be able to walk straight back into the team here and do the same thing.

He's a good player and clearly has potential. I don't think bigging him up so much does him any favours at the moment because he's still raw and clearly can't cut it consistantly at this level.

Can't argue with that Statto.

Joel...DJ campbell was scoring goals at Conf.South & below & if someone had not gave him a chance he would still be there now.At the time DJ was on the bench for Blues they were a poorer side than what Blackpool are now.

I am not bigging anyone up, just passing my own opinion of what I think makes a good striker.

Anyway its only £8.80 return to Melton Mowbray with your student railcard if you want to watch a good striker.

I'm more worried about watching my team, and no player is more important than that.

Its a cultural visit as well, not just watching football.

Unlike Reading ,this town has culture, its the rural capital of food, two great battles in the civil war were fought there & it was also where the saying "painting the town red" came from.

Reading was where Oxford University relocated to during the civil war. It's also a hub of music and theatre, and has a prison in which Oscar Wilde was held for a time.

Besides which, I didn't go to Reading to watch Ross Dempster...

i have mates in melton and i can assure you its a sh1te hole full of chavs.
the only good thing about it is the pies, which incidentally, they don't make much of a big deal about over there.
its also half decent for a night out, with a terrific kebab house emoticon

Is Melton the one where every other place is a take-away, or is that Harborough?

Re: Ross Dempster

Joel...sorry about the Reading pun, but I had a nasty experience at Reading rail station in 1989 when I was accosted by some drugged up beggars.

Rob...no problem about the starting 11, they are that short of players I could get a game.

Tandy....I thought you said Barwell was the sh!t hole of Leicestershire full of chavs.
