The ref made a couple of mistakes today but was largely solid in my opinion.

Don't understand we played Dover beginning of march, he's played on since then and now is suddenly out for the season.

My understanding is that he sustained the injury against Dover and no-one knew his ankle was broken until this week, so he played on, also with cracked ribs...... emoticon

Second half we started brighter and White could have had a couple of early goals. Then we bring on the 3 players and you have Sammonds passing the ball with Dapo and Sterling looking to run at them. Why not from the start?

In our part of the ground, us and Moors fans around us simply could not understand the teamsheet, the starting 11 and the list of those on the bench.

Our worst fears were confirmed, a dire performance from many of the starting 11, apart from the quality free kick which gave us our goal.

Oh how things were so different after the three quality substitutes came on. Why oh why were they not on the field from the start? The end result could have been so different.

John , a more experienced, wiser Manager would have had the substitutes on , from the off.

I would add a braver manager too. Here we have an opportunity to settle this relegation battle in a real 6 pointer and McDonald bottles it and plays a negative team.

Nortei Nortei at right wing is simply ridiculous, of what benefit was he there...at best he's a midfield dog like Mayo. Particularly when you have the likes of Dapo and Sterling on bench.

Another bizzare decision was taking Franklin off and going with a 3 at the back in Mayo/Green/Kettle. Now I agree with going with a 3 as we were chasing the game but why that combo. Why not Green/Kettle/Franklin. At least you'd have had 3 players in position rather than 3 out of position. Plus you get the added bonus of a Franklin long throw.

It may well be a non point to some supporters in the hustle and bustle of trying to get a goal but it clearly emphasises to me that McDonald is totally out of his depth, is tactically clueless and has bottled it also at the crucial time. He's got to go to give us a chance. Even him just going will give the players a lift I'm sure.

We can come up with metaphors all we like about sticking together, nows not the time to pull trigger. He stays we are doomed, I'm convinced and that tactical MESS today just proves it. He's a Sunday league dog and duck dud!

Re: Solihull 1-2 York

I think that is a bit harsh. I thought it meant sense to start a bit more defensively with Baxter and Sanusi playing. If we had grabbed a point like we deserved, it would have been a decent point. We played a more attacking team with Sterling and Dapo in last week and lost 9-0.
Sanusi looked well out of his depth to me and the question would be how we play in the last 3 games at the back to try and get some points rather than turning on the manager.
