Martyr's Analysis: Moors v Sutton
We all look forwards with anticipation so watch this space.
I just want to offer that Sutton thoroughly deserved their victory as they were by far the better actors.

Re: Martyr's Analysis: Moors v Sutton
Considerably better performance than the Fylde match and extremely unlucky not to equalise at 0-1 when ball bounced out from inside of upright.
But the goals, my oh my, the 1st was pure Sunday League, embarrassing and unacceptable at this level, the 2nd yet another route 1, the type we concede too frequently.
Bowen, K.Green, P.Green and Hylton played well, can't remember an Asante effort on target and it must be in Carter's contract that he plays every week, woeful and definitely not a leader/captain. Give Daly the armband !
Is St Ledger really injured ?
I'm convinced that all the foundations laid during the Bignot era have been eroded and the remainder of the season will be a losing battle against relegation. I'm sure the team will work their hardest to survive but the key ingredients are missing and that we are in a worse position on the pitch than 12 months ago is incredibly frustrating.
Would love the next manager to have a magic wand and prove me wrong but realistically I hope he has a plan b that will prevent the club going into freefall when all the players disappear in May.
At least I can manage a few away days in Conference North !

Yes st ledger injured could barely walk , that's
what you get playing a chap for 90 minutes
when he hasn't played for over a year

Wouldn't it have been better just too replace him at half-time at 0-2 on Sunday, at least he could of played some part today.

Re: Martyr's Analysis: Moors v Sutton
Nick, thanks.
On one hand I'm glad it's genuine on the other so disappointing for him and the club especially with him needed more now than ever.
For only 26 days in the past 12 months have we had a manager who knows how to operate effectively at this level.
Recruitment is the issue, difficult to lay the blame on McDonald, he's not going to refuse the opportunity to work at this level and it appears he had carte blanc to do what he wanted with the playing squad providing the bottomline reduced.

St Ledger was ok after the match on Sunday apart from cramp. He actually did his injury in training on Thursday evening.

Re: Martyr's Analysis: Moors v Sutton
So the roller coaster ride has now turned into the big dipper. I said it would be all over by Christmas, and more than likely it's all over now.
Same long high balls down the middle, long throws into the box, easily defended. Players lack confidence and resigned to their fate. Different team each week doesn't help, either.
Even if a new manager brings in new players they would have to acclimatize. Mathematically it's not quite all over, but I suspect most fans are thinking it is.
Time to plan for the North or South next season and hope the to stop the fall even further.
