Club is in free fall, forget any hope of survival, we are down already. I think we will go down again next season though and just fade into oblivion. Playing staff is nigh on PATHETIC with one or 2 exceptions.

In hindsight giving that dog and duck kid McDonald free reign on recruitment was a massive mistake as he was utterly clueless and his player recruitment policy involved some names in a hat and an office dartboard.

Richard Money was exactly the right appointment at the right time but for whatever reason he left and the ship is now sinking and a couple of journey men in Yates and Flowers are not able to save ship.

Probably time to start preparing for next year. That will be a challenge in itself because there are some cracking teams down there. Maybe move the loanees out sooner rather than later and look to build a team from there.

I agree. The Board and Management must be having some thoughts about being back in the National League North or maybe National League South if Chester and Guiseley, two teams further north than us get relegated with us.

As I have said before, I have not enjoyed watching Moors struggle this season and although I agree there are some cracking teams in the North and South Leagues, at least we will be not having to play against teams, whose budgets and crowd support are many times greater than ours.

Realistically we have been down for some time and performances like today explain why. We were playing a similar side but couldn't find any advantage - no cutting edge and too many defensive errors.

Jamey Osborne is, as ever, a joy to behold at this level, but more often than not is the only creative spark and gets kicked out of the game.

Asante is nowhere near being the same player who left for Grimsby. He and Dapo are not a natural pairing as front men.

I don't think anyone would disagree that Carter is past it, but the guy is in his mid-30s and can hardly be expected to carry the team by himself. It's as frustrating to see supporters singling him out as it is to watch all of the mistakes being made across the whole team. He isn't playing any worse than the rest of them.

Planning for next season needs to begin now. This one will be over by Easter if not before.

Just a real shame our board haven't shown the level of ambition as others have as promotions don't come along very often.

Next season crowds will be down to the 300 mark and they only have themselves to blame as many will have given up supporting the team.

Perhaps some people's expectations have not been realistic for the past two seasons, possibly resulting from the board and the management not sharing plans and thoughts.

At the time of promotion Marcus stated it was earlier than he had planned for. We had a good, well organised squad of part timers playing to their potential and in some games a stroke of luck to get 1 or 3 points. It was a magnificent achievement for little Solihull Moors.

Survival was all that mattered for the following seasons, we scraped it last season and are failing hugely this season in my view because McDonald was completely the wrong appointment at that stage in his career. Whether it was Jed or the board who sanctioned the breakup of the remaining Bignot squad and the ridiculously high number or loan and acquired players i have no idea (again) but it was a doomed strategy.

Relegation will happen, hopefully with everyone fighting tooth and nail for it not to, but National League North or South is the realistic pinnacle for a club with our resources. We are desperate for a manager to provide stability, work well with the board and regroup next season. Not to be afraid to make the difficult decisions and most importantly ensure that the club has a future at whatever level for seasons to come.

As an older supporter I enjoy watching my team winning matches and scoring goals, more so than achieving unsustainable promotions, so from next I may be looking forward to my Saturdays at the Autotech Stadium and even be inclined to jump into my car for the occasional away game.

As another older supporter, B93er has summed up my feelings exactly. Brilliant post. Especially the last paragraph about going to away games. For many games in the National League, you have to travel miles and miles, with no local derbies, unlike the National North and South where you have a few within an hour's drive away.

Someone mentioned the directors not showing enough ambition - why would they continue to pour more and more money into the club when the home fan base hasn’t considerably increased in the higher league and presumably we continue to make a loss each week and month. I recall they asked for investment when we first went up and presumably nobody came in, hence Jed. I’d also disagree about the title winning team being allowed to breakup - the majority of the team seem to have ended up in Brackley, which shows they want to be part-time players in a part-time league. It may have been about money but seems to me to be more about life balance.

It's easy to point fingers & I can understand why, but I feel if we the fans start giving up now, then don't you think this negativity would feed down to the players?

I very much hope the fans still have a very big part in determining where we are playing next season. So I urge everyone to get behind the team more than ever & lets give the team the vocal backing from the start especially on New Years Day at home. COYM
