posticon Future Improvement of Facilities at Solihull Moors FC

Taking into account the proximity of the NEC and Birmingham Airport ✈, it would seem a good idea for a " low cost " Hotel, to be built in the vicinity of Solihull Moors.

The footfall imo would be there for the likes of a Travel lodge to be built...

Nearly all other hotels closely are very expensive...

Home , away football supporters, land rover employees, visitors to the area in general and indeed NEC or those using the Airport would create sufficient demand.

I am sure that if this came to fruition, a Hotel chain would resurface our famous car park too !!.

Let's make full use of our close proximity to the NEC and Birmingham Airport , to help generate income for Solihull Moors , as we look to stay put at Damson Parkway, for the foreseeable future.

Someone like Travel lodge would seem ideal.

The same "Travel lodge" who have a hotel up the road next to the Holiday Inn?

Why would they want a second hotel so close, and even if they did, why would they want to undercut the existing one?

I've drawn a line, no more nay saying to your ideas.
You do come up with some progressive thought and plans and have an eye for opportunity.

No doubt the club has some strong favour that it could turn into fortune.

It is no secret that the club has benefited from car parking for JLR employees. The JLR expansion is going ahead, and in its current incarnation, building around the stadium into the fields behind up to the Cov road and re routing Damson parkway.

The way JLR expands will likely still leave a car park bounty if a new site were found locally. I've seen publically availble plan from Solihull council earmarking land around the current stadium and down the road toward Solihull for the much needed but never likely housing/urban expansion.

Land further down the road by the canal is earmarked. If JLR paid a good rate, the council backed the club and a plan around that area for a new stadium with housing along the canal and out toward the Cath de Barnes direction then, everyone's a winner, right? (Mansion owners living on Hampton Lane etc need not respond)

That said, unless we find a capital rich backer to talk turkey to large entities that currently view the club as a 'Windsor beggar' then that is just a nice idea.

This is simplified even from my knowledge base, so, be prepared for a great many obastacles, even, if it were possible (the woodland nearby is protected for example). But good ideas can't hurt find some millionaires and sweet talk them.

That said, let me check my lottery tickets.

If the ground has been sold the board need to be upfront with the supporters as to their future plans for the club.
